    while I recognize your acclaim in this field i would like for you to consider for the moment that patrick steward said that he would refuse any further roles as captain piccard... also Data a much loved character was killed off and you yourself noted that nemesis bombed in theaters so maby a fresh crew would be better for the next movie your argument here will then be that it should go to DS9 but as I said before DS9 is so much more politically involved that an action based movie might put off the series fans while a diplomatic "problem" episode will put off the fans of all the other series/movie viewers i bet your fancy

    Being a bit of a film fan I have read many books on the topic and have studied media in college
    didn't help ya think of that!

     

    PS: I feel sad for kate mulgrew the other day I heard her narrating a car commercial... I cried :biggrin:

    1: some one installs microsoft windows 4000 and they ship has to go to dry dock every other epi.

     

    2: the borg actually do assimilate something or someone

     

    3: the ferengi offer someone a good deal

     

    4: a unknown cremember doesn't get killed by and invading alien species

     

    5: some alien stops by to say "Hi there"

     

    6: an important person being transported by enterprise doesnt encounter trouble

     

    7: the holodeck provides a nice break from active duty

     

    8: the romulans admit that humans are ok

     

    9: captain piccard enjoys the company of children

     

    10: this happens :biggrin:

     

    hey moddy I made it more TNG relevent... can it stay to provide comic relief...

     

     

    PS: I just know that picard would die before he let the ferengi offfer some one a good deal!

    I tottally side with jean-luc picard here

     

    they movie ideas don't REQUIRE (operational word there) that you know about those episodes but I mean you don't know what a phaser is until you see it.... so mabe the movie spends one scene with janeway explaining the hirogen or species 8472 to another starfleet captian big whoop....

     

    I think that you need to chill with the bashing there mister malfunction

    also I would like to add that voyager was more of the traditional "startrek" show where you have a bunch of people in starfleet uniform exploring the universe

     

    whereas DS9 (which did have some kewl episodes) is mostly politics between bajor and cardassia and then the occasional problem with wormhole/station-systems and some times they would go visit some where else

     

    my point is that a DS9 film would not capture the ADVENTURE aspect that a big big part of startrek! :biggrin:

    hmm... ya what if the ship went through a strange anomaly that effected the computer they think its no biggie so the captain goes to hang out at fair haven then a second "doctor" appears behind her (he is in ECH mode) then he tells jane way that she is unfit for command so he knocks her out then tells the crew that he was assigned as acting captain while she took a vacation (he launches her toward a class M in a shuttle)

    imagine your flying around on your first 5 year mission when the borg central plexus drops out of super trans-warp and transports a specilized mass of nano probes into your ventilation system... bye bye individuality

    I think that i will take this oppurtunity to remark that THERE IS A STORY OF WHAT HAPPENED TO VOYAGERS CREW AFTER THEY GOT HOME... its called "homecoming" and every one needs to know that it is the best ST book i have ever read... it would also make a great movie for further referance look up the book and read it!

    did you know that comcast is about to introduce "on demand" TV I believe it mean they have a giant super huge database of shows and they let you watch them whenever you want and the new shows are put into the database as soon as they are released on TV !

    aaah but voyager lasted the 7 seasons despite it being hated.......

     

    I think mabe the enterprise we saw in the TNG episode where enterprise past present and future all meet up because of Q.... minus the third naccelle for gods sake it was stupid
