in the voy series we learn that by the 29th century there is time travel capability and by this time warp geometry has also changed severely

After having seen these ship and considering that the enerprise-j looks more like the TOS ent or the TNG enterprise it just doesn't make sense

yes this info is possibly non-canon... but it all fits into the show and it is repeated in several books by differing authers....

and i believe that it would make sense that the Susanna Thompson version of the queen wa a temporary body for the queen managing the collective while the "real" queen was traveling to the alpha quadrant

in one episode of TNG captain picard says that the federation recieved a message about a planet in distress due to geological faults but they never dispatched a ship because starfleet was busy with: "the Xindi and getting its roots down"

after reading several books and seeing almost every borg episode there is i can tell you with 99.9% certainty every thing you need to know about the borg queen!

When a Queen dies, they just choose a drone, any female drone & disembodied that drone leaving only her brain & download all past knowledge of previous Queens of the past.

just for the sake of postage i will add that the program within the collective memory is called the "royal protocol" it gives detailed instructions on how to control the collective it is simply downloaded into the memory of whatever borg is "queen" at the time

also there are more then one queens functional at one time...

because it would be to stressfull to manage the thoughts of every single borg dron the managment works like this

any way the borg queen the "real" borg queen maintains the borg and the will of all the "queens" seen in voy/movie 8 from a gigantic space station that maintains position outside of the galactic boundry...

actually i agree with cjlp that spheres grow as they assimilate to become more effiecent with there designated tasks given the nature of the borg this makes sense and it explains the differences....

also it would be ridiculous if all borg spheres and cubes were the same size (all cubes one size and all spheres another) because then they would only have 2 kinds of ships...

also the largest borg vessel is the central plexus seen in (not the one seen in VOY) it is a gigantic mobile space station that mantains a distance of more then 70,000 lightyears out side of the galactic border... this is so that it cannot be threatened by anybody without transwarp propulsion... this ship is manned by:
