  1. The ep was ''True Q'' as I recall. Amanda was her name-and Q was a smidge darker in this one, than oftentimes. Trelayne did share a rebellious streak with Q, though his was born of immaturity.

  2. I caught an ep a while back of the show that replaced ''Ebert and Roeper''; it was a review of the new hosts' ''worse films of the year''...and Indy was put at the TOP by one of them. I admit I have not seen it-don't go to the flicks, but used to back when...and Last Crusade was great. I was saddened to see the next creation of Spielberg-Lucas so bashed....of all people. No matter what, were it on tv now, I would definitely watch it.

  3. WOW...the Borg, an ally? Never thought of that!To quote good ,ol Data, ''Intriguing'' I admit, I am someone who loves to see enemies become allies...and Gene himself along with others made an efort to show that ''we CAN all get along''...eventually. Well...sometimes more successfully in the fictional world. Having such a powerful ally would HUGELY alter the face of a tremendous volume of space...if the Collective had no 'Prime Directive' a la tech-sharing of their own...Well, maybe it all could take place-but not without difficulty, and some sort of culture-altering event, on a grand scale, as in the Voyager ep ''Unity'' Okay, Riley, you've got your work cut out for you....

  4. I am long familiar with Mr. Foster's ST work-have all the Log Books. It's ben since the first film, as I recall, that he had an affiliation with the franchise. A recent issue of Star Trek Magazine had an interview with him. The animated adaptations followed the TOS characters faithfully, and gave we TOS devotees more to enjoy in those pre-sequel-series days.Hats off, as well, to James Blish, the late author of the TOS series adaptations in print.

  5. I would have to say that the way to go for my take, would be as I believe Alterego said, a venture taking place a century or more from the last film-with more than enough room left before Daniels and co. Starfleet could have made leaps and bounds ahead, technologically, as well, by then...and encountered whole new species on a par with the UFP, as was with Cardassia, Romulus, etc. But the peek at the pre-TNG era, as in the novels, is an interesting notion.
