Always liked the green shirt. <_<

I won't be seeing the movie as I don't support the whole reboot scheme.
That makes two of us. If nothing else, Enterprise showed me (at least) that going backward in Star Trek is a monumentally bad idea. I have a theory that someone that really hates Star Trek is making these decisions at Paramount.
-
Not bad. And I do have a thing for red heads . . . . . <_<
-
You and me both. Patrick Stewart should have portrayed a British captain. He was never convincing to me as a Frenchman.

I stopped taking Peta seriously years ago. Oh wait, I've never taken peta seriously.
I have canine teeth for ripping meat, therefore I eat tasty, tasty critters. And don't even get me going Vegheads, it won't be pretty. I'm a omnivore, your an herbivore....a natural food source. <_<

Janeway had no real choice in the matter. If you select Tuvok, you loose Chakotay and the Maquis. All things being equal, though, she should have selected Tuvok.
-
As much as I disagreed with Janeway's decision making most episodes, I have to admit that she usually turned out to be right in the end. Chakotay was an excellent first officer, but he never struck me as being as capable of leading the ship as Janeway. A lot of times he was overly emotional and made decisions based on those emotions rather than clear-headed, level thinking. He needed to get away from that Maquis way of thinking and inject more Starfleet discipline into the process.
In fact, Chakotay would only be 3rd on my list of those best suited to command Voyager, after Janeway and Tuvok.

Being captain means making a lot of personal sacrifices. Janeway knew that she couldn't have a romantic relationship with a member of her crew. It would have been bad for morale, and the relationship would have been doomed from the start anyway. Remember Picard and Neela Daren?
I can only imagine the chaos that would ensue if the the ship's two seniormost officers were sleeping together.
Janeway was probably grateful for the holodeck. And she probably had a few private programs stored away. Hell, I would have if I had a holodeck. Now let's see, where's that program Shakira 1-alpha......

All of them.
In fact, I own every season of every series. <_<
And even before they were available as DVD sets, I was busy video recording anything Trek I could get my hands on. Just like a lot of you, I suspect.

I'm a huge baseball fan, just like Sisko. So naturally I loved this episode.
I always assumed that Starfleet vessels of Earth registry were primarily crewed by humans, Vulcan ships by Vulcans, etc - with a few alien species thrown in as part of the UFP's cultural exchange policy. That's just the way I explain the preponderance of Earth names for vessels we've seen, and humans on these ships. It would seem to fit, in that Federation ships with non-Earth origin names (typically Vulcan) have largely Vulcan (non-human) crews.
Of course that doesn't help explain the U.S.S. Hera (TNG: "Interface"), unless Hera is also a Vulcan name/term.

I like to do the same thing with Enterprise that I do with Terminator 3. Pretend it never happened. <_<

I like cats. They're just so laid back and cool. I have a black tom named Max (Maximilian).
Dogs are too servile and simpering to me. I always think about "Meet The Parents" when I think of Dogs.
"You need that assurance do you? You prefer an emotionally shallow animal? You see Greg, when you yell at a dog, his tail will go between his legs and cover his genitals, his ears will go down. A dog is very easy to break. But cats will make you work for their affection, they don't sell out the way dogs do."

Haven't been to church in ages, but I am a Christian. To be honest, not always the best one. I love pretty women. I can drink a little when I'm out with my buddies. I've been known to let fly a few colorful words from time to time. I suspect a whole lot of folks will be in line ahead of me at the pearly gates.

Aquarius. Artistic, tolerant and lovable. Thats me all right. <_<

George Harrison all by himself would beat the Stones in my book. But when you add the 5th Beatle, Billy Preston and some of the brilliant songs written by Lennon-McCartney (and yes, even Ringo) this match quickly becomes a non contest IMO.

It's a little windy out tonight. But not too cold. A nice night. <_<

Not to toot my own horn, but in my fan fiction....well, Jadzia was suitably impressed. <_<

I think the Borg nanoprobes would most likely cure the Jem'Hadar of their addiction. As for a fight, wow that'd really be something. Being closer to Borg space than the Federation, I would assume the Dominion has had run-ins with the Borg. Too bad we never heard of any specific incidents. <_<

Always loved Kira with shorter hair. And there's nothing wrong with a big butt in this or any other universe. trust me, I'm a brother. I know this. <_<

Garak was so gay, not bi. Just my opinion.
I picked up on it right away. To be honest, I assumed he was homosexual from the start. But the Trek producers being spineless, wouldn't dare show homosexual characters (so much for IDIC and tolerance), so they hooked him up with Ziyal. But I'm not going to start my rant against Trek for marginalizing homosexuals. I think Trek's record in this regard speaks for itself. Shameful.

I always saw Dukat as a jack-booted Nazi. Hated him. But a part of me was also drawn to the character. I could almost see myself following Dukat, if I'd been a Cardassian. But in the end, I could never get past the fact that he was a representation of fascism. The same for Damar.

Meh, I know I'm in the minority, but I didn't particularly care for Vic. Would it have killed the writers to have made Vic a Philly soul singer from the 60s or early 70s? Somebody cool. A smooth operator like Star Wars' Lando Calrissian. Everyone on Trek listens to jazz, classical, or lounge music (well, Klingons have opera). But you never hear anything else.
I could just see Sisko or jake and Nog relaxing in smoky soul joint, with Al Green or Billy Paul crooning in the background. Lol. That would've been great. <_<

Morn was one of the best characters ever. I loved that guy. Let me tell you, if ever I found myself on DS9, Morn would be one of the first people I looked for. The stories he could tell. <_< And you know Jadzie and Morn were on seriously friendly terms. Morn had to have hit that a time or two. Hell, I would've.
The Language of Picard
in Star Trek: The Next Generation

Knowing what I do of French national pride, I'd find it very hard to believe that the French adopted English as a national language in the future. And English isn't too easy to learn. I speak 3 languages, and my Hmong instructor often told me that English was very difficult for her to master. The reason? Some examples:
The bandage was wound around the wound.
The farm was used to produce produce.
The dump was so full that it had to refuse more refuse.
We must polish the Polish furniture.
He could lead if he would get the lead out.
The soldier decided to desert his dessert in the desert.
Since there is no time like the present, he thought it was time to present the present.
