I just thought this would be a fun little topic. Whether they are novels, trivia books, comics, or anything in between, WHAT ARE YOU READING?
Right now I am almost done with Vulcan Soul Part 1, and I am enjoying the Vulcan history and early story about Surack. I am also finishing the Klingons Blood Will Tell comic series. I like the art work, but was hoping for a more original Klingon story line as opposed to the retelling of some classic original series Klingon stories. At least there is some background to go along with the original series stories.

Its been a long time since Star Trek has been in the kids toy market. They have made special collector toys that are pretty cool. I recently purchased the Kirk and Spock 2 pack from Amock Time and the Kirk and Spock 2 pack from TMP. I guess kids could play with them, but they are more for the collector.
As far as the new toys go, Abrams said that he was making the film for a new generation of fans as well. I guess this is a part of it.

Some of my co-workers e-mail me or IM me when they sit less than a few feet away, so number 4 is one I can totally realte to. It's kind of a pet peeve of mine at work. It makes no sense when you sit that close.

There are some things I like from Abrams and some things that he has put out that I do not like.
I actually liked Mission Impossible 3, I thought it was the best one in the series, to be honest.
Never really watched Lost, but hear that is very good.
I did not like Cloverfield. The marketing was genius, but the movie was like being in a bubble while other people roll you around a chaotic scene. I have only watched Fringe a few times, and think its ok. I thought it was overated at first.
The main thing out of all of the above mentioned is that he has only directed one movie, MI3. So we will see with Star Trek, I have my hopes and will be in line early to check it out.

I am definetly going to check this out. I have seen a couple of episodes and some of the interviews are better than others. Jimmy Kimmel and Tim Allen were good interviews.

Some Next Generation episodes I recorded on the DVR. Sci Fi channel had a marathon on Christmas, so I am trying to catch up on some shows.

does the chat start at a specific time?
Can anyone join in as long as they are a member of the site?

Its been a while since I posted, but I thought this would be a good place to start again.
I have been downloading the re-mastered series from Itunes since they put them up there. Making a collection of my favorite episodes. Compared to watching the older versions, they look great and I think the integrity and look of the show is still there. So far my favorite espisodes are "Mirror, Mirror", "Balance of Terror", and "Amok Time"

I just kinda started to collect some Star Trek stuff, I really want the entire collection of movies. ( I am kinda new to the Trek universe) I recently bought the first movie, the Crucible Spock novel, and I got the electronic Enterprise NCC 1701 ship model. I am about to hit the Atlanta Comic Expo, and hope I find some more collectibles, on the internet I know there's ebay and amazon.
Does anyone have good suggestions for places to get Star Trek collectibles?
Yes....from me....I'm about to put most of my stuff on EBAY!...
Send a link or post one of your ebay auction, and I will take a look.

I am enjoying the remastered editions as well. I just have one question.. are they remastered on the collected DVD's or just the HD DVD's? I have watched some from ITunes.

So I just finished Vulcan Soul part 1 Exodus. I liked it, but you can tell that it was written by two authors, which it is. One part is written from perspective of Karatek, a Vulcan living in the time of Surak. The next part is set with TOS characters, who are much older, Kirk and Scottie are no longer with them. They go on a mission against the Watraii, who just took out an entire colony of Romulan settlers. I really liked the ancient Vulcan parts, but the other part of the story seemed a bit slow, but it is a 3 part book series so I will finish the other two before making a final decision. Without giving too much away for anyone who has not read it. The book is about how the ancient Vulcans split into 3 different groups, Vulcans, Romulans, and the Watraii, and what effect this has on the attack on the Romulan colony.
