  1. Now that I saw! Didn't go in, but went past it several times on the way to the monorail.

You never, ever went into it?

The Experience? No. Not when I was there this past June. We did talk about going to Quarks to get some drinks but they were closed when we got back from Spamalot. When I was there in 2002, we got as far as the gift shop. We were going to do the rides but I didn't want to spend the money since it really didn't interest me and we got there like 30 minutes before it closed so it wouldn't have been worth it.

  2. Guess I didn't stay in the right hotels.

lol I think we only saw 1 that didn't have a Starbucks in it.

Which one? I stayed at the Excalibur and the Hilton and didn't see any. Of course, I can't stand coffee so I wasn't looking for one. lol

They were in both of those

Then I guess I missed them. But then again, I missed the Elvis statue in the Hilton, too. lmao

lol That was right outside the frint door. Did you see Star Trek The Experience?

  4. The surest sign of a closet Trekkie is their public protests against it...

The surest sign of an individual who doesn't care for Star Trek would be someone who continually tells you she doesn't care for it.

    #13 http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?...mp;term=trekkie

    13. Trekkie 13 up, 22 down

Anyone that has ever video taped more then 10 episodes of Star Trek for viewing at a later time or belongs to a Star Trek internet message board (STARTREKFANS.NET for example).

You know you are a Trekkie when you tape more then 10 episodes and post messages on (or are a moderator) STARTREKFANS.NET

    Give up on it Kevin.

  5. Getting ready in the next half hour or so to go schedule all of tomorrow's NFL games to record. I usually have that done by Friday but I haven't fully gotten my "NFL Season Legs" back under me lol.

Let's see... for tomorrow there's 14 games to be scheduled and then the Monday nighter....

    Only one that matters. lol

Yeah, that's the one that I mentioned that's on Monday Night...

Not what I had in mind but I know arguing with you is a fruitless effort on my part.

  6. Out of 5 and a half years+ online the Mini Cities have only been around for about a month and a half. Star Trek is the #1 reason that I created the site, well that's actually not accurate either. I created the original site to promote a shared interest in the music group Alabama, Star Trek was only one of the "off topic" sections.

Star Trek very quickly overtook the Alabama aspect (much to the displeasure of Amy I might add :frusty: ) and I decided to convert the site into what is now STF. So there have always been "off topic" interests associated with the site. The site was born out of being an "off topic" interest lol.

He's not kidding. I was devastated.....still am 5 years later..... I know there have been several members who have wondered why I'm a member of this board since I don't care for Star Trek. I joined for two reasons. First, because I love Alabama, second, because I wanted to support Kevin and his "creation" that he started here. The second reason is why I remain a member.

    (Closet Trekkie) ^^^

Why do you insist on going down that road? You totally know that isn't true.

  9. 103 Now, not bad for just a couple days of being on MySpace. I'm pleased to see that Jeff Cook has added us to his friend list. Sort of brings the board full circle. STF started out as a board dedicated to the band Alabama, turned into STF and now the lead guitarist for Alabama is on our friends list (and he's a big Trekkie).

I'm glad to hear your having such great success with the MySpace page. BTW...in case anyone ever wondered why I joined the board, the above explanation should clear that up.

  10. Amy asked me to post a couple of Alabama songs for her and I didn't have them (Reinvent the Wheel an Right Where I Am) so I bought the MP3's from Amazon.com.

You could have asked, I would have been happy to send you the files. You should know by now that I have everything they've ever put out. The last CD I bought was either "The Last Stand" or "Songs of Inspiration II". I can't remember which was released first. I love Alabama's version of "The Old Rugged Cross".

Let me know how much I owe you for those MP3's.

  11. It is very cool as long as you stay right on the few blocks that have been redone.

Problem is that the Monorail doesn't have a stop right at that location so you either have to walk there or take a taxi.

Take the walk...Freemont street is worth seeing.

Is it worth getting mugged though? :dude:

    Yep

Be sure to take pictures for us...

Odds are you'll be going back to Vegas long before I will. Besides, you're the guy with the fancy new video camera. You should go and shoot video to post for all of the STF members who have never seen Freemont St.
