    To be serious about TV lawyer commercials, I keep seeing one on Washington D.C. stations by Shatner for a lawyer named Mike Slocombe. I think it is one of these national firms that has affiliated law firms in several states and that Slocombe is not local to the area where the commercials are shown just the affiliated firms.

     

    As for jury duty I get the letter every year to appear for jury duty, I have not been picked for a jury in over 20 years. I get to ride a crowded bus to downtown Baltimore since I refuse to pay the parking rates downtown. Unless I am in a courtroom waiting to not get picked for a jury I spend my day in the "quiet room" on a semi comfortable sofa reading a book or 2. In the main jury assembly rooms they have boring movies on TV, fools yakking on cell phones and people babbling on and on and on about how much they hate being there.

    I thought he should have been ahead of several on that list. Alan Alda far and away should have been number one and several of his M*A*S*H co-stars should have been on the list. Who made this list?

     

    McCoy deserved to be higher on the list than Hawkeye. The character McCoy added several phrases to common usage "He's dead Jim" and "I'm a doctor not a _____________" (insert job or profession here). Over the years I have heard many variations on those 2 phrases used much more than anything Hawkeye ever said.

    You might be right... but I'm still kicking myself for studying economics instead of fashion design. Just think of how much fun a straight guy could have in that industry!

    Actually, when I was an adolescent Victoria's Secret wasn't around yet. That's OK because my dad had Penthouse.

    I had to vote Harry Mudd, Harry was a rather "roguish" character whereas Cyrano Jones was boring. Beautiful women vs. cute fuzzballs, beautiful female androids vs. cute fuzzballs.

     

    Harry did have one other advantage over Cyrano, the Stella android that he could tell to shut up when it nagged him of course Kirk had to ruin THAT. :)

    I have to go with the original series effect as the best. In the later series and most of the movies the effect was computer generated, in the original series it was aluminum dust, lighting, a few camera tricks and really great editing. What they created for a few dollars (relatively speaking) was a great effect.
