What is all this and how do we follow along?
Looks interesting.

I know the episodes but not the titles so I had to look a couple of the shows up. And yes, Shades of Gray was pretty bad.
I confess we got a kick out of Samaritan Snare. More than once we found ourselves saying "we are smart" in that dimwitted tone when we either do something really stupid or inadvertantly and surprisingly right.
Going off subject...other ST phrases that have worked itself into our vocabulary are "with sails unfurled!" and "captain, there be whales!" It's hilarious when other people understand us!

A friend offered to tape the show for me but he missed the show as well. Ugh!
I'm going to take jefffitz up on his incredibly gracious offer. I'd rather watch the thunderstorm version than wait until August!
Figures this would be the first episode of this season that I missed.

Well I'm back from vacation and I totally missed the season finale. I tried hard to get to a television to see it in time, but.....
We were due to fly out in the wee hours of the early morning last Thursday, from a city some distance from where we live. The decision was made to leave Wednesday evening and stay overnight in a hotel. No problem, we'll just head out early and watch the show there, right?
Somewhere between stop A and stop B my face exploded. Ok, just my sinuses but it hurt pretty bad, and for a long time. I had to see a Doctor or forgo flying. Hope sank.
But alas! There was absolutely no one but staff at the urgent care center and I was called in immediately, got a shot, (ouch!), prescriptions, and was out by 7:30 EDT. Just a short hop to the pharmacy now and I would be back in time to see the long awaited show.
There were other delays but I made it to the hotel by 8:03, ran to the television and flipped frantically for the show. And????
They didn't televise UPN. Nor is it shown in the Caribbean.
Nazis? What happened???

No one here is able to answer this question so I thought I'd try the great minds here.
Is anyone familiar with .exe.hdmp file extension? I looked for extension type details but what I found was hardly informative. Any help you can give is appreciated. If you would, please pm me, it'll be easier for me to receive a reply.
Thanks!!!!!!

I thought they looked like Odo...maybe? :wub:We thought that as well. Wouldn't that be an interesting connection! But the..Dominion?...could exist in "our" universe. Perhaps their adaption will be a future storyline.

The poll should have been broken up into sections for this episode: how did you like the action, the plot, the suspense, etc. All would have received high marks from me!

I loved the interaction between the characters: Reed and Hayes, T'Pal and Trip (she called him Trip!), Archer and the Xindi, all very good.I loved the twist when the Insectoids began to suspect the Guardians. I actually thought for a moment the Reptiles were going to turn from their allegiance. It will be interesting to see if that line develops. Perhaps a Reptile civil war?
Why does Daniels keep showing up???
I can't wait until next week. I sure do wish I wouldn't have scheduled it as our first day of vacation. I wonder how I'm going to work around that!

Excellent comments have been made and I almost feel bad for giving the show an 8. However, even after further reflection I'm sticking with my vote. Don't misunderstand, 8 is good in my book. The show just wasn't as excellent as episodes such as Azati Prime, Strategem and even E2.

There were excellent elements such as those noted above, but this episode did have issues. The segments were disjointed and without flow from one event to the next. For example, T'Pal and the others in the shuttle were in the sphere; their actions did not intertwine with the remainder of the plot, not even at the end. We were left with a mere "Tell the shuttle crew to stay put, we'll be back for them." Someone mentioned the Sphere-makers/Domion like scene. That also was disjointed, even a bit perplexing.Overall I did like the show and can't wait until next week. As always, I enjoyed reading your posts and loved the comments made.

I gave it an 8, my lowest score this season for
Click for Spoiler:
royally depressing me. Though I have to admit the scene with Degra and the Reptilian started out amazing. The (fore)shadowing reminded me of an old movie, "Gaslight" I think (which is fitting given the Reptilian deception). -
We're all happy because we already ate the ice cream

Seriously. Where else can a bunch of geeks go (and I mean that as a high compliment, as one speaking of oneself) and be themselves?

Archer had to do the mission, he wouldn't let anyone else do it because deep inside, something's bugging him (pardon the Xindi pun). Little clues given throughout the mission, especially recently weigh on him. He doesn't know why, but he's the one that has to go....
Archer knows something is amiss. What's his face in "Strategem" made a comment about not wanting to kill the innocent, but needing to save their world. There have been other comments made, how the humans are treacherous, how they would come to destroy them. Archer knows humans wouldn't do this. Consciously he's trying to complete the mission, save Earth but subconsciously his mind is putting the pieces of the puzzle together.
Xindi's belief that humans would destroy them in cold blood, the Makers of the Spheres, the reconfiguration of space, fear of annihilation, manipulation.....
Archer knows.
Okay, beddy bye for me. Too much Enterprise in one evening.

I thought it was great, I was totally absorbed in the action
I did see a couple of things coming, especially after watching "Strategem", but the writers did manage to throw in an unexpected twist.Wasn't this the season finale? Several members mentioned having to wait six-seven weeks to see what happens. Can someone fill me in on the scheduling?
Season 3 is not over. We still have several more episodes with the Xindi arc. It picks up again in April. The season will finish in May and then you have to wait until Fall for Season 4.

Oh shoot, I don't know how to feel. Oh well, I'm glad I didn't follow through and write someone a thrashing letter.
Thanks for the info, I'll readjust my perception.

I'm sort of watching TNG's episode about Picard and the Stargazer. Wasn't really paying attention but happened to hear Data refer to Xindo Starbase 9. Is that correct and have there been other references to the Xindi in TNG that I've missed?

Bravo, Bravo. Can't find a "clapping" smiley (the happy one just won't do it).
This was a very good episode, a lot of conflict and emotion on different levels. LeVar Burton did a great job directing and it might explain why the show keeps getting better. He's done at least two this year. Has he done any other season episodes?
I wonder if Trip will be dealing with it in future episodes.

Did anyone happen to catch the startrek.com chat with Scott Bakula? Can you give a summary or any good tidbits?

I didn't know anyone else felt this way about the song. Other Trek fans I know just blow it off, but this theme really MEANT something to me. My heart swells when I listen to it and watch the beginning of Enterprise and watch the "path" it took to get to that final frontier.
There is no strength where there is no struggle.

Heading out for vacation next week, and am looking for some good ST reading. Can anyone recommend a real page turner? I noticed First Contact and Insurrection are out (yes, just found out today :) ), are they very good?

Hello everyone, I'm new to this Forum as of today, when I came across the address while trying to find out what in the world happened during the first part of tonight's episode of "Enterprise". I'm learning how to navigate through, and am making a few mistakes in the process, but I'm glad to be here and looking forward to meeting people (and aliens....)

I'd love to follow along the first time to see how it's done (I'm more Barkley than Worf  ). Just keep any eye out for postings on the USS Nova or what?
