I don't like horror movies, so I won't be seeing this movie.

 

Here's my question for those who do like horror movies:

Why do you like to see a movie about a evil, psycho killer, everyone dies but the hero, and then you found out the killer's not dead.  Too much violence, too much gore, not enough substance.  That's my take on horror movies.

I'm not sure why I like them.I just like to be scared,I guess.Unfortunately modern horror films don't know how to scare you.They're too busy showing you all the beautiful young actors making out and showing gross-out FX.If you want a good scare you need to watch something with Vincent Price,Christopher Lee,Peter Cushing,Lon Chaney,etc.Now,those gentlemen were masters of the craft,and their films are legendary.The original Bela Lugosi Dracula is one of the finest films ever.I have a copy on DVD with a remastered score.Its just awesome.The only horror related things that still deliver good scares on demand are novels(the good ones,by the great spook authors).

I really do not like Horror Moives as well, I find them to make people not understand reality and fiction. It triggers the violent impulse in people to do something wrong. Freddy vs. Jason as example, two badtime villians seeking out to kill out many people in a town, but end up in a evil vs. evil battle. I think that the idea is very original, and twist the perspective of good vs. evil, but I just do not understand why they have to have a lot of violence for somehting to be considered as good.

I really do not like any of them.... :)

To others: Never knew that 2001: ASO. was turned into a movie, I gotta check it out sometime. :)

Note: I do love the comic book stories as well, X-Men, Green Lanter, Spiderman, etc...

I really dislike the military, I am against war. I know as a human, I have to accept what we got, but I just would not watch a show supporting hte cause, :) freeom of america is great, isnt it? :)

I think a series will be great, but as long as it is after ENT, involving the series POST-NEMESIS, will be excellent. During this era we can see more inventions such as the creation and the development of the time machine and more Earth-bound episodes. :)

I really think that VOY was a great series, and although I didnt watch DS9, from what I have read online, it seems it would of been excellent as well. I think that Fans complain a little too much and dont see a story for what it is, a story, it has really no general essence, but it can affect us in many ways... Get out of the past and press on with the new. :)

Well Syperphobia the explanation I have already formulated is this, she is no longer present on the Ent as a representative of the Vulcan High Council therefore she is free to express herself more freely, how's that sound? :(

Yeah, I thought that was the reason she was changing her outfit. I like the color better, it's much more flattering for her. I would actually like to see more color on Enterprise. She's really going to stand out among all those navy-colored uniforms. Too bad they didn't get away from the cat-suit concept. I don't see much change in the hair, I thought they were going to change that too. :)

Well, the outfit is just fit, not really a cat-suit... I really think they did tone it down. Also, I know that she never had a uniform becuase she was not officially of starfleet, and therefore has the freedom to express her personality, it would be just weird that she just showed up on the show and she gives no direct reason to why she dresses so human. :) Even if she doesnt all the way explain it, I believe they should at least she has a 'good new look'.

The ones I listed were strictly from TVGuide.com. If you go to show guide and click Star Trek: Voyager (Click S), then you would find that it was what they listed as the Top 5 episodes. Polls, Viewers, unsure what they go by.

Do you agree that these were the top five episodes of VOY?

I think VOY's light hearted humor really was excellent, it took your mind off of the adventure... such episodes like Body and Soul, Q2, and Tinker, Tinker, Doctor Spy will always share the element of excellent lighthearted comedy.

Data space isn't a problem. The posts are part of our MYSQL database and we have unlimited storage space for that database. Right now I think it's around 60mb or 70mb in size.

 

As some people may know (or may not know) we're kind of watching the board's total post count to see how long it will take us to get to 100,000 posts. If we were to go and delete all posts over 30 days old our total board post count would stay around 10,000 every month. Because when a post is deleted it takes away from the total count.

 

As for the idea of a special forum to move the posts to, we do have that for a couple of forums already. The Promotions forum and the New Members forum.

 

If you are having trouble finding the newest posts I would suggest using the "View New Posts" feature, or when you are scanning the forums look for this next to the title to indicate new posts.

St. Patricts day as any other day of that hertiage, should be celebrated for that hertiage. Others can honor the day as well, but I am not Irish, and really dont care. I do believe in the resepct of holidays and tradition, just making St. Patty's Day national seems to go overboard with the fun loving crowd america is already.

If you have no idea who these people where, you might be either dead or in stasis, so I probably dont have to go into details.... I do not like the Jeans, but their singing is excellent, I hope they do a joint record, if Justin and Christina Agulara can do, so can they. What do you think?

I do not care for much about FanFic, I leave it up to the professional writers, but what you got seems alright. I just wish more people will do original ideas, like I am doing. My project was suggested to be posted here, but I want to keep it highly classified as it can offend majorty of readers, the topics and themes are above what the normal Science Fiction you would consider to be Trek, Andromeda, Matrix, Star Wars (although I consider this to be fantasy).... I guess, I will be able to work out the knicks and crannies out on my own, I have currently over 400 pages, and think I am getting to the end of the first phase of my epic.

Anyway, to all writers like yourself, TREK ON!!!!

This is really annoying when I see 10+ pages. I really think it is the MOD responsibility to delete these old posts, or at least keep it in a special archive Fourm.... I really see this as a waist of data that can be used as more special features.

With posts deleted, the MODS should be able to still keep the status of the promotions. A little brain power and I am sure you would be able too :)

This will make you people insane, but I am looking at the post archives and found this to be of the last pages, but I think it should come back with power. I think that everyday when I get the 'Have You Found Me' flyer in the mail, people throw it away.... the solution the Amber Alert, it will make people respond more to this horrible crime of kidnapping and will make people 'ALERT'. It should defiently be nation wide, isn't it already???
