No one has mentioned Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. he and his whole family were big Star Trek fans, As a matter of fact its because of Dr. King that Nichelle Nichols (Uhura) stayed on the show!

I give BSG a 10. Its a great show! I really like the darkness to it, makes it seem more real to me. I'm looking forward to watching the rest of the season and hopefully many more! (Now that Enterprise is going away and there won't be any Star Trek for awhile!)

I'm pretty much with you. I've been watching Star Trek since TOS started in 1966, and to me Enterprise was everything Star Trek was meant to be. this show was never really given a chance. I remember people were bashing the show before it even aired! Alot of folks just did not like the idea of doing a prequel so from the start they spewed their hatred for the show.To me there was not one thing that made it any different from the other Star Trek shows.
I really hope they don't do any more Star Trek for a few years, 3 years at the least. Putting a new show on any sooner and it will be bashed as Enterprise was.

Who really cares if they get married? All I know is Camilla is one butt ugly woman. If I were a Prince I would certainly find something better looking to spend the rest of my life with.
-
As mentioned before, Gene Roddenberry created the Romulins to represent the Chinese. The Klingons represented the Russians. remember when Star Trek first came on the cold war was alive and well and going strong.

Its sad news.Ossie was a fine actor and a good man. he will be missed.
-
If TPTB are smart they won't do any more Star Trek TV shows or films for about 3 years or so.
-
I echo what most others here have said...When Enterprise leaves UPN there will be other reason to watch that network. Enterprise was the only reason I flipped on UPN.
-
This is sad news. Its ashame that such a good show is coming to an end. I for one will miss it.

I live on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and they close schools when we get a half inch of snow. Alot of places around here are just not prepared for snow, it doesn't snow enough to warrent spending money on snow cleanup.

 That is amazing to me..Why is it that we all assummed that Spock was the first Vulcan in Starfleet? This must have been said in one of the episodes that I cannot recall at the moment..Perhaps it was implied..Still, until I see it in a TOS episode I'll accept T'Pol as a possible first Vulcan in Starfleet..Though I'm still skeptical..From the Star Trek Encyclopedia:
Spock was the first Vulcan to enlist in the Federation Starfleet, and he distinguished himself greatly as science officer aboard the original USS Enterprise. On Enterprise they are in Starfleet before the Federation was formed. Perhaps that's the difference.
It could also be that in the statement above it says Spock was the first Vulcan to "ENLIST" in the Federation Starfleet. T'Pol did not enlist, she was given a postion in Starfleet.

Great episode! It left me wanting more!!! I gave this a 9.5.

I always watch Enterprise first and tape Stargate SG1 to watch later that night.
I thought "Observer Effect" was a very good episode.
I'm still hoping for a season 5 with Enterprise. Its just too good a show!!

Click For SpoilerI like how Manny Coto once again made a tie in to TNG when Emory talked about Cochrene's drinking. And Archer spoke of playing with plastic toy Lazer Pistols which I took as a nod to TOS's pilot episode. -
Manny Coto has done an outstanding job of tying in Enterprise with the other series. I look forward to seeing more in the future.

I'll be looking forward to this new episode, it sounds very interesting. Coto has done some great things this season and has done a wonderful job tying in Enterprise with the other Star Trek series.
This show has become ,now more than ever, a show worthy of being part of the Star Trek universe. It is certainly just as good as TNG,DS9 and Voyager.
keeping my fingers crossed for a season5!

I'l be getting drunk!!!

Their version of "Smoking in the Boys Room" ROCKS!!! :)

I have six ear piercings and no tattoos. But I do have a coupon for $40.00 off a tattoo and I'm seriously thinking about getting the Klingon Empire symbol on my shoulder or arm.
-
Yes it should be considered canon. After all most of the originals from TOS are involved with it including Gene Roddenberry!
-
I was very happy that Chris won. It seemes a couple of the women were serious men haters (Like Amie) and he fought an up hill battle to stay in the game.
-
I enjoyed both films very much!

I agree with you. Now that we've seen the Romulin it all makes sense now! The Romulins do have a bird painted on the bottoms of their birds-of-pray (raptor)
