  1. Don't worry cptwright, we don't think you're stupid, and you're right, we learn somthing new everyday. Believe me...I played trivial pursuit with some family saturday, and through the whole thing I only got two questions right! But I learned some things.

Anyway, that was off topic. As for the mule having a baby, that's cool! Not only that, but I didn't know that mules were sterile either!

  2. When I was little-like 7 or 8-and we went to my grand parents' house, I remeber that my brother and I always used to get agravated because we couldn't watch TV after seven o'clock because my grandpa had to watch his Star Trek. I thought it was aboring adult show then, but one day, when it was almost over, I decided to go into the living room to see what was going on on the show, just out of curiosity. I sat in there and watched the last ten minutes of it with them. The episode, as I later found out, was "Skin of Evil", the on where Yar gets killed. I walked in just as Captain Picard walked onto the holodeck. Since I didn't know what that was, who any of the people were, or what was going on, I thought they had just stepped off a spaceship, and what was happening confused me, especially when the holodeck door disapeared. But it also made me interested. After watching the tail end of that show, I wanted to know more about the series. From that day on I liked ST:TNG.

  3. No it's not. "Friends" is stupid, not to mention unrealistic and non-christian. I don't watch it. I've never heard of "Fraiser", but if it's anything like "Friends", then I don't want to. I don't care if Brent Spiner guest starred. Good Grief, the things people watch these days!

  4. I don't think we'll be here 100 years from now-maybe not even 50. There's a pretty good chance Jesus will come back before then.

As for the matter/antimatter engine thing-I couldn't care less. I never thought it would be possible aanyway. Don't get me wrong, now. I'm not close-minded, I'm a Christian, and my belief is that God isn't going to let us get as far as traveling between solar systems and such.

    But, then again, He could...

  5. I forgot a couple of things- I'm always saying "interesting". that's not the same word Spock uses, I use it just like he does. Oh, and I answer my teachers "aye sir" or "aye ma'am" even though my friends tell me not to. The teachers don't care, so I do it. It used to be on purpose, but now I answer teachers that way without even thinking about it.

  6. No kidding! I would have been so disappointed in myself, I wouldn't have been able to stand it. Not to mention that I was that disappointed in Wesley in that episode. The whole time I was thinking-WHAT DOES HE THINK HE'S DOING?! I am a Christian, and so it really hurt to see Wes do something like that, even though he was the one to tell the truth later. He should have known better in the first place.

  7. Whoa, and I thought I was crazy for mimmicing manerisms from Star Trek characters. Although, I do it anyway, and I know now that I am not crazy-I'm just like all of you. Cool!

Let's see. Obviously using contractions isn't a problem for me, but I do plenty of other things: I raise my eyebrow sometimes, and I often tell my friends that they are not being logical even though they look at me like I'm crazy. (Logic isn't a popular thing among seventh graders, but I find myself being logical a lot since I became a Trek fan a few years ago, and I like it.) It is not uncommon for me to perform the Picard maneuver, I say goodbye to people with the Vulcan Salute and a "Live Long and Prosper", and sometimes I say "come". I haven't ever argued with my seventh grade science teacher about aspects of Star Trek technology, because he's a fan as well, but I have argued with teachers about such things in the past. That's about all I can think of. I've never trieb Earl Grey tea, but I'm thinking about asking mom about it.....
