  1. Actually, I don't believe Voyager messed with the timeline.  Sure, they had one they had a LOT of time travel adventures, but none on the level of complete damage.  The one ones with significant damage are...

"Future's End" - Sol system almost destroyed, Holo-Doc gets his mobile emitter, computer revolution of 20th century happens.

"Endgame" - Future technology brought home to Earth.

So, they messed up once, and then brought home advanced technology.  That's nothing compared to Kirk!

lol, no doubt. Kirk was just plain trouble :wow:

  2. The only mention of the Dominion Wars in the TNG movies that I can think of was at the beginning of Insurrection.  Picard was talking about all of the diplomatic missions the Enterprise-E was being sent on because the diplomatic corp was busy with Dominion negotiations.  Later in the movie Ruafo mentions the Dominion when talking to the Admiral but only as part of list of enemies that the Federation had done battle with lately.  I can't think of any reference in Generations or First Contact.

ah ok. I never picked up that up when I watched Insurrection because at the time I was only familiar with the first Season of DS9, though I vaguely knew about the Dominion.

Also, the Enterprise is the most powerful ship in the fleet, I think, so I don't know, I would have liked to have seen some kind of cameo involving the Enterprise in DS9, hehe.

  3. Savak was the vulcan in ST 2 and 3 right? Kirstie Alley wasn't that bad but holy crap, the girl they got to replace her in ST 3 was horrible.

The actress was Robin Curtis. She was also in TNG's Gambit. She played Tallera. Did you like her in that?

I honestly don't remember, let me go look up what episode that was... (real time posting haha). Ah yes, those were two really good episodes. I haven't seem them in quite a few years but I think I remember liking pretty much everyone on that episode, but my tastes of changed since then. I don't know, it's not that she was a bad actress, just I really dislike when someone new plays a character already seen. Like for me, Kirstie Alley is a very recognizable person, so watching her in ST 2 and then watching ST 3 with someone else playing a well established character who I don't know just didn't sit well.

  4. I'm not sure how the TNG movies worked in regards to how what was going in those movies related to what was going on in DS9, but I wonder, where was the Enterprise during the dominion wars. Did the crew move to the Enterprise-E yet? I mean, I find it weird that the flagship of the federation was never mentioned, seen, or seemingly partook in the major battles that were shown on the show. And since Picard had a lot experience with Gowron and the Klingons in general, I'm surprised star fleet wouldn't have involved him the matter of the Klingons breaking off the alliance... yes I think too much when I watch episodes but regardless. Would have been cool to see Picard involved in the war... like maybe just show the Enterprise with the fleet, kicking *buttocks*, and then later on Picard and Sisko can talk via the view screen or something like that wouldn't involved bringing the whole crew back.

  5. I loved Face of the Enemy. It's one of my favourite episodes of TNG. Troi's acting was actually amazing (I think that a lot of people look good as romulans...eg Data! Of course, with the exception of Kirk. That was just creepy), and the plot was good and the script and everythign!! I really liked the captain, even though she was supposed to be a "bad guy". I thought the actor was amazing, too, and her character was really complex, for such a short amount of time on screen.

haha, Kirk looked hilarious as a Romulan. The Romulan look isn't very befitting to Shatner lol

  6. I think more so than in any other Trek main characters were written out of, or were seen very rarely in certain episodes. For example, the episode where Quark becomes a woman... only him and Odo, from the main cast, seem to be in it (from my memory) with Odo only having about 2 minutes. And a lot of the Bashir episodes had almost no one else... the episode I saw today Chrysalis didn't even have Worf in it, and every once else except Dax had about 1 minute. Why do you think this was done so much (especially in the last 3 and half seasons)? Was it to focus on the character whom the story revolved around or another reason? Was it a smart or a bad choice?

  7. I think something that all Doctors have in common is that they have a very high ethical and morale code that they follow, especially Dr. Crusher. However, personality wise (the exception possibly being McCoy and Pulaski), they are very different.

The Holographic Doctor was probably the most versatile while Dr. Bashir had a lot of good episodes (in my opinion) and was very interesting by the end of DS9. Dr. Crusher was of course the easiest to look at it and had a very strong character. Meanwhile, McCoy was just plain funny with Spock.... so what do you think?

  8. Actually, Rene doesn't sound like that. He stated once that he can't really even talk like that in real life because it has something do with the make up that makes him talk that way. If you watch that episode where Sisko is having a dream and all the actors are in it playing different people without make up (great episode btw), Rene's character doesn't sound like Odo at all.

And remember, Odo wasn't as good as a changeling as the founders. He couldn't morph into other people, so he probably couldn't imitate voices like Quark's for example.

  9. Here is what I saw in that page.

    "Star Trek: Borg Encounter (2003)"

    "Production Notes/Status:

    Comments:

Note: Since this project is categorized as being in production, the data is subject to change or could be removed completely."

    "Credited cast:

Alice Krige ....  The Borg aka The Borg Queen

    Kate Mulgrew ....  Admiral Janeway

    Robert Picardo ....  The Doctor"

WOOO JANEWAY IS IN IT :hand:;):hand::D

didn't the Borg Queen fall apart? That was so funny in End Game when her leg all of a sudden dropped off out of nowhere... don't know why but I couldn't stop laughing

  10. DS9... I have a thing for story arcs and I really, really like Garak, Dukat, and Martog.

Also, as much as Picard owned, my favorite Captain is Sisko... he is just plain badass.

  11. but after a while I just wanted to slap her.

    :blink: ;):D:hand::hand::wow:

Did ya like her on TNG?

Nope. I didn't much like her from the begining. The way to tell your man you don't want to marry him is not to send Data to talk to him. Have some guts woman. sad-smiley-066.gif

lol I just re-watched that episode yesterday on DVD. I didn't like her in that episode at all...

  12. As I just mentioned in another thread I watched Caretaker today right after End Game which was on yesterday. I haven't seen caretaker since it originally aired so it's kind of interesting to know how much characters have changed, both in looks and personality.

    - Paris' hair really thinned out and he was a lot skinnier. Not that he aged badly, but I think he aged the most.

    - Tim Russ portrayed Tuvok a little differently. Tuvok always had a very distinct way of talking and in Caretaker he just sounds different.

    - Seeing the doctor with little personality was interesting... I don't think anybody guessed he would become what we he did based on this episode

    - Chakotay really disliked Paris, I had completely forgot about that

    - Harry and Tom were friends from day one, I think that was a starter point for the type of relationships we'd see develop in later episodes.

    Well, that's it.

  13. They found the twins' homeworld and their parents offered to give the little girl (can't remember her name) and Icheb a home, but Icheb decided to stay on Voyager.  I was surprised because it took about 5 minutes for this to happen at the begining of an episode.

Thanks for clearing that up, I'll have to wait till Voyager comes on DVD to see that because they just started at the beginning again on the space channel. Watching Caretaker after End Game is kind of surreal.

  14. Ya, you all have good points. Harry was still young even, Voyager was his first assignment. Even though it was a pretty long assignment!

With all he did for Voyager though he should have been promoted even though he was young. The fact that he never did always got on my nerves! ;)

I agree, he should have been promoted but I can see why he wouldn't be.

  15. My thoughts were: "he was drunk! And Data - you knew that was comming! - the android with the sum of human knowledge could not save the ship with out the help of Wesley the genius. Yeah, right! Damn that stupid kid!"

Even worse, the Chief Engineer was not infected in The Naked Now and she's saying it would take weeks to do it and he does it in 3 seconds. I guess that's why we didn't see that Chief Engineer anymore. :wow:

haha, yeah, the chief engineer probably got fired.

  16. I had to read this post out of curiosity.  As of my posting time T'Pol has no votes - the folks at UPN would be mortified.  What shocked me though was the number of votes that Hoshi has.  Serious question here - isn't her constant whining and incessant negativity a turn off?  In real life it generally is.

you mean she speaks, hrm, never noticed? lol
