My wallet needs feeding. Come to think of it, so do I.

So I guess that's the crew roster for now. We need more people, I should think. Or we could do the whole double up thing. Pleas excuse the fact that this is terribly unorganised, I'm doing this while I'm meant to be working on my Photoshop project for school.
I'd be terribly overjoyed -- this is a good thing -- if we had loads of people while the idea was still rather new, I guess. Anyone?

Technically, I don't drink because I'm underage. But I've tried some, and I don't really like it

Cool So what position do you want? Right now, the entire senior staff's open for anyone to take. I'm thinking of the Kaleya being a rather small vessel, so maybe it'll be a small crew. I haven't got the class of the vessel yet.

Those are all the open posts we've got. I guess we can double if there aren't enough people, but I've got my fingers -- and toes -- crossed for now. And if it comes to it, we can have a Security-Tactical-Armory officer, and maybe just let the Operations and COmmunications officers be the same person.

I doubt the Klingons would have much interest in us, unless we had some sort of untapped mines deep below the surface they needed. If that was the case, then the Klingons seem like the kind who'd take what they needed and leave, in a very "Wham! Bam! Thank you ma'am!" manner.

I'm thinking of starting a RPG, based on the exploits of the USS Kaleya. The Kaleya provides most of the defensive capabilities for the Newton asteroid colonies in the Amaran sector. The Amaran sector is dangerously close to the suspected point of a future Borg incursion, so the Kaleya does covert monitoring of the vicinity mainly because Starfleet doesn't want to send people into a panic about the Borg. But they want to be prepared and all that.
Role-playing will take place right here, if the Mod(s) don't mind. A different thread from this, with just the crew posting in it. The role-players can take the story anywhere they want, they are not bound by restrictions or any mumbo-jumbo like that.
Right now, I'm just wondering if anyone's interested. Otherwise the project gets grounded

I get to watch the Olympics on the bus home from school everyday -- if I can time myself properly, I can get one just as the badminton events are ending, so I can see who wins =D
Just watched Ronald Susilo -- he's a Singaporean shuttler -- lose to a Thai dude. Saaddd. But I reckon the Olympics are fun, they've got quite a bit of coverage here, more than half of Prime Time's reserved for the Olympics.

Lmao, literally

Damn. Why the hell is Trip so damn hot?
But I think there are many more flattering pictures of Archer than the one up there. Maybe the one of him in civies on the Bridge? I'll put it up when I can find it

She probably said it as a "I won't jinx the show" thing. I know because I do it all the time But it is rather discouraging, especially when more than one person does it. Dominic Keating and Jolene Blalock. They're pretty dynamic in the show, and I hope they weren't saying that this would be the last season because it was their last season.

I really can't see Janeway taking a desk job, no matter how hard I try. It just seems so... not her, in a way. She seems like the kind of person who'd want to be in the midst of the action, not read about it in a boring, stuffy report.
Actually, I don't think anyone on Voyager will adapt to life in the Alpha Quadrant. I sorta have this wild image of them yearning for home for seven years, and somehow turning it into more of a mythological place instead of what it was, rife with wars and all that. So when they return I somehow picture them being immensely disappointed and heading back out to another deep space assginment. But I really don't like that ending =D
Kathryn Janeway -- I see her remaining a Captain out of her own desire. She gets an offer for a newer, faster ship but remains with Voyager. She and Chakotay get closer in terms of friendship, especially after the whole Chakotay/Seven thing that was marring Endgame
Chakotay -- Resigns his commission. As much as he abided by Starfleet regulations in the Delta Quadrant, it was because he was left with no other viable choice. I can't see him following the orders of a group of people who just about signed his people's death certificate.
Tuvok -- He should go to Vulcan and get the neurological disease treated. And because the seven-year journey's too much for his pointy ears to take, he also resigns and spends more time with his grandchildren in a pretty human gesture. He also goes through the pon farr. Or did this happen on Voyager?
Tom Paris and B'Elanna Torres -- Work from Starfleet Academy. Tom works in the Piloting and Navigational sectors, and works on improving the Delta Flyer. B'Elanna teaches a course because she wants to be near Tom and Miral would also grow up better on Earth than on a starship.
Harry Kim -- He finally gets that overdue promotion. Gets a great assignment, on Enterprise or something. He gets back together with Libby, who's waited all these years for him to return.
Seven of Nine -- Become's the Federation's leading expert on the Borg. Does covert operations to help safeguard the Federation against the Borg without sending the general public into a panic.
The Doctor -- Is given hair, and a name. Probabaly Joe. He remains on Earth, and also aids in the effort to protect Earth against the Borg. But I really like the idea of him caring for his creator.
Neelix -- Lives happily with Dexa and Brax. Maintains communication with former Voyager crewmembers through extension of the Pathfinder project.
I just realised that if all this really happens, most of the crew will be split up =P
And yes. Homecoming and The Farther Shore were great books. =D

^ Not that much
< Thinks that Arachnia is spiffy
v Gunbound or Elite Force?

I can do Helm if you want someone =D I'd be willing to double up as a lowly Medic in emergencies, if you want, Captain.
-
I'm in if you need someone for Ops Officer or maybe even First or Second Officer. I wouldn't mind Tactical Officer.
Sounds really fun, though. I haven't tried RPGs before online, but over IMs.

I guess I'd wanna learn Vulcan most. But I'll go for Latin for now, I already now how to say 'Your fly is open.' Though I still have no idea when I'll be able to use that in actual conversation o.O
-
I think the whole 'different species' thing made the Doctor wary about what kind of medication he was giving to Neelix.
-
Janeway's the best.
I don't think I have to provide evidence for that one
What other captain would travel over 70 thousand light years for her crew? Only Janeway would. And who else could hold off an attack from the Borg and still look unruffled?
-
I think Kes and Kim helped Voyager stay fresh. But I am glad that Kes left because she was getting a bit monotonous, the whole swee'-pea thing. Kim was nice in the sense that he kind of grew into his character. He did seem a bit out of place in the pilot episode. But at least he got better with time. Kes was nice, I can give her that. Fury was one of her best, albeit outof character.

I don't think so =S
And mine doesn't have a picture of me in it.

I dunno, I hadn't really thought about the possibility of the Federation falling and everyone on Earth being destroyed.
I reckon the Borg would be the people who'd demolish the Federation. They've got the numbers -- remember the nests of Borg ships in the Delta Quadrant? -- and they're immaculately efficient. No room for wastage or mistakes. And they got pretty close to assimilating humanity in Homecoming and The Farther Shore.
Or like someone else said, the Sun could just blow up and that'd wipe out half of humanity, and would probably leave too big an impact on Starfleet -- the headquarters are on Earth, and the Utopia Planitia shipyards would probably also get pretty banged up, colonies and all that kinda thing in range would be destroyed.

Oooh, that's unfair.
Rainbow sherbert?
I've got Oreo's and a cold Coke =D
