  1. If the turbolift were bigger, I'd have Paris, Reed and Trip. They're all... well, hot. Terribly hot. Reed's got a horribly sexy voice, and Trip's just charming. Paris' a gentleman, but I guess he'd get down and dirty =D Who else could deal with a pregnant half-Klingon, eh?

But I voted for Trip because I just watched the rerun of the episode where he gets pregnant

  2. B4 and Data are simply incomparable, if you ask me. Sure, B4 has got Data's memories, but he didn't experience everything that Data did. I don't know. I'm just hoping that they somehow find a way to bring him back, he was great. But it might be even beter if he were just hiding out somewhere, waiting for the right moment to pop back in.

  3. They're not exactly the best of friends, but I'd say they were closer than either of them'd want. They're both not exactly the type o make friends with the other type. Yes, at some times they just got terribly miffed with one another, but they'd help one another if the need should arise.

  4. I do traditional Indian dance, and once did shotgun modern dance (we choreographed, learned and performed a dance in five days). I used to do the piano, and still do the recorder at school. My friend's teaching me the guitar know. I write, and even got into a national camp for that. But I'm a closet writer, the only place I've gotten my stuff published is in the school newsletter. I sing for fun, though I sound bad, and performed Chinese Opera in a theatre with my drama club. I do a bit of acting, and our Theatre Circle got a gold in a nationwide Youth Festival.

But I put down dance

  5. The miniskirts really were a whole new thing =D

I guess I'm gonna have to agree with you, the TOS era uniforms really kicked *buttocks*. The Voyager ones looked good, but they looked like thin pieces of clooth sewn together. But the Enterprise ones are the ones that I like best, apart from the TOS ones. The blue jumpsuits. I would have loved to get down and dirty in one of those than in the new TNG ones

  6. The Federation has brought about a large number of mixed-species hybrids. And I mean that in a good way.

Say anything bad about it and you'll face the wrath of a Vulcan-Klingon.

But T'Pol's having to throw everything she learnt about humans in god-knows-how-many-years out the window, with the crew of the Enterprise. She's just beginning to accept humanity idiosyncrasies, I guess it'll take her a while longer to get to know men.

  7. When I wrote "killed" I meant that the show never really reached the levels that I think TNG and DS9 reached in terms of quality. I didn't mean it was cancelled, which it obviously wasn't.

TNG and DS9 didn't really appeal to me, I guess it was because I thought they were too formal. They seemed like a bunch of lackeys on the trailers I watched, compared to Voyager. I guess everyone's got their own opinion, but I can't help but think that maybe we should all have a little bit of faith in Paramount, Braga and Berman. They might just do exceptionally well on the next series, and maybe even movie.

  8. I don't know about you guys but it sounds to me like UPN has really screwed up their programme timings. The same thing just happened here. They were meant to show Shockwave Part I -- the Season 1 ender -- but they showed Fight or Flight again. That's the second time they've shown that episode instead of something else. The first time they swapped it for the episode where they were on Risa -- Two Day and Two Nights?-- and and then replaced Shuttlepod One with it. Plus, I just checked my TV listings and there's no Enterprise for this month and the next. I just wrote to the network, and they said that they're checking into it, but it just galls me to think that they're showing Miss Teen USA instead of Enterprise. Besides, it took so long for it to come to Singapore, and it'd be a shame if it were to go off air so quick. I really, really hope it was a mistake here, and that things get cleared up at UPN in America and here as well =P

  9. I don't think Nemesis was stellar, but it was watchable. The soundtrack was also quite bearable, if I do say so myself. Maybe it was the whol Stuart Baird direction that turned it into a very bad action film. But hey, everyone's got their own opinion. The Voyage Home and one of the other ones -- burn me for forgetting -- were my favourites =D

  10. I guess the most plausible theory is that they probably had enough power after the battle with the Romulans to divert some back to Life Support. And I guess it is true -- about how cutting off Life Support doesn't remove the oxygenj already in the air.

As for the neurazine, I suppose they had time after the battle to somehow neutralise it, or maybe it dissipates after a while.

  11. It sort of disappoints me that there are so many Voyager fans here, but that they're pretty inactive. But there are loads of people who think Janeway reinvented the typical captain, and that the show really pushed the boundaries.

Yeah, the show was a bit slow at first, but it picked up as time went along. There are a few classic episodes among all the seasons, I should think.

  12. The directory doesn't have my name in it [Gayathiri] but I guess that's because my mum said that my name is Hindu or Sri Lankan. o.O I never really realised.

ragingtarg, I looked up some exotic baby name sites to see if I could find your name. The variation I've found to be more common is Gayatri, which means "mother of the Vedas, also a goddess". I also found Gaayatree, which means "a sacred verse, a goddess". I would guess that Gayathiri is derived from Gayatri (I like Gayathiri better :) ). Here are the sites I looked at, if you wanted to look yourself: IndianParenting.com, babynamesworld.com, IndianChild.com, and kairalee.com. :)

Thanks Gabri =D I asked my mum after posting in this thread, and she said just about the same thing, something about mantras and vedas =P

  13. I'm trying to prepare a debate.

But I sorta got sidelined by some extremely hot pictures of Trip and Finn Tugwell -- he's one half of the extremely talented Dutch men's doubles table tennis team.

I should get started on my debate. =P

<EDIT> My debate team mate came over and demanded to know why I was writing my debate now. The debate's tomorrow, and it's for first place. Hell hath no fury like Kel scorned. =D She's livid. Eep. </EDIT>
