  1. My com got hijacked once a while back. I the sense that the IE pages were all diverted to porn pages, and we had to reboot the entire system to get that out. My dad and I were really miffed, we both need the Internet loads.

But we've got Norton and McAfee running now, thank the skies.

  2. Hmm.

I guess I'd probably be in some way associated with the military. I'd love to be a MACO, but I'd probably end up in the Civilian Corps. But not with the Federation. Maybe wiht the Klingons, I love the way they defend thir honour and do battle so ferociously.

My mum wouldn't wanna know that, I guess.

  3. (Possible spoiler alert)

I just about ran to the bookstore to the get it the day it was out here. I finished it in two days, and have re-read it countless times.

    As for the book --

I loved it. It was brilliant. The coverage of the Tomed Incident -- in a very fair and partial manner, mind you, not one that's Federation-glorifying and all that -- was spectacular, as well as the underlying political themes. You don't get all that on a made-for-TV episode, only the usual exploration, discovery and then destruction.

David George has laid the foundation for a whole new plotline -- the Federation-Romulan relationship. I can easily see this one novel growing to several books covering this important period in the Federation's history. After all, we know that the Federation and RSE were sort of on the same side against the Klingons in the TOS movies (someone please correct me if I'm wrong here), because there was some sort of a Romulan official at some sort of meeting. And then, the next thing you know, the Federation and the RSE are on tenterhooks, and heading into a Cold War.

Maybe even a movie. Hell, I wouldn't say no to a movie on this.

But I want to see more on Demora Sulu and Harriman. What happens to he Enterprise after Sulu leaves? Half the ships with the name Enterprise have dappled with total annihilation, surely that others have too.

But me? I'm just waiting for the other books in The Lost Era to come out. Or a bookstore clerk's gonna get it. =D

  4. I have found myself believing that my house is playing home to someone other than the four of us in the family, and I don't mind at all. Sometimes, late at night, I can hear footsteps on the stairs, up and down and up and down. And there was the time, when my dad wasn't around, that my mum, brother and I were sitting in the computer room and suddenly heard the keyboard. And I have always hated staying at home alone, though no one of the spiritual incarnation has harmed any of us.

And there was the time the TV switched on by itself.

I don't feel good. I'm home alone now, and the windows are rattling.

    Oh my god.

  5. I just recieved my copy in the mail today. I ordered it thru amazon.com..I must say that I am pleasantly surprised by just flipping thru it..It looks so awesome! And it is a lot bigger than I was expecting..I'm going to have a good time reading thru it..I have to try to make some of these 'trek' dishes...And it looks like there are so many neat recipes in there..Should be fun.. :)

I saw it in a bookstore here, but I was broke -- I'd just bought the Encyclopedia, Daedalus' Children and Mosaic -- so I decided to get it the next time. But I've got Finals the next three weeks, so I don't think I'll be able to go get it. Which sucks like a big fat mouldy vaccuum cleaner.

    Did someone say gagh?

  6. I wish I could own one of those stuff. What I really want is a Borg doll, and a phaser. Which works. And commbadges and those pictures Archer has on his wall. I want them on my wall as well.

(edit) Oooh, and I want the pewter Voyager model loads. I'd love the person who gave me that =D *hinthint* (/edit)

  7. I use Hotmail and Gmail.

Never heard of the STF one, though =D

[edit]Oooh. I've got 5 Gmail invites, if anyone wants any. Email me (donatra@gmail.com) or PM me if you want any [/edit]

  8. In my opinion, it wasn't that great a film as IV or V, but it wasn't all to bad.

The OOCness was galling, though. Picard never speaks prsonally, and in that tone. It didn't fit. But other than that, I'm fine with it. =D

    Watched it twice

  9. I'm a righty now, but I used to be a lefty. There was this period where I was ambidexterous, then I just started using my riught hand more and more. But when I play sports I favour my right hand, and when I eat I use my left hand =D

  10. People get annoyed when I say live long and prosper and do the hand thing. :o :P

Lol, I do that too much. My friends wave, I do the Vulcan salute. My English teacher once reminded me that contractions would be a welcome sight in my essays and compositions, I was so shocked when I re-read my essays and found that there were close to no contractions in them

I named my fighter fish after the male Voyager Bridge crew, and my hamsters after the females.

I say "Come" and "Enter" too much, as well, and stuff like "Engage," "Make it so," and "Just do it."

And I speak like a Borg at times =D

    Hey, Krissy :)

Maybe we should include a translation =D

  13. I am looking forward to next year. Hopefully the series will have some strong writing and the acting will stand out.

I feel pretty confident that the Emmy nominations will somehow increase the standard of the show, somehow motivate them to do better. But I would also definitely love some more strong writing and acting. :)

  14. The ONLY good thing about the show was the great music and the visual effects.  Now all they need to do is work on the characters AS AN ENSAMBLE, and they will have a good show.

I don't know, for me personally I think they've done a fine job with the other characters, although I wish Hoshi would get a little more air time. This is a top notch show that is worthy of the name Star Trek!

Hm, but if you ask me, I think the show's been doing great anyway. Maybe we expect too much after waiting, what, three years for a new series.

What makes Enterprise even better? The guys =D *cue eyebrow waggling*

  15. I usually have a slice of bread with Nutella and Peanut Butter, and have an egg before rushing off to school -- I always wake up about fifteen minutes before I'm meant to be at school, thank the Spirits I live near the school. I usually have a second breakfast at school after two hours of lessons because I get hungry by then.
