  1. I allow advertising in signatures at my forum, becuase we have a small community there. However, with over 1,000 users here, I think not allowing signature advertising is a good idea. However, I'm annoyed by the idea of keeping the character length so low, becuase half my signature is always code and the adress for hosting a picture.

  2. I have three questions. :)

    1. I usually have a long quite and a picture in my post. If the signature length is short, this makes it difficult for me to have a complete post. How long is the current length?

    2. I have a message board which is for discussion on anything. If I wanted to advertise it in my signature, would I be allowed, or does the new rule include all forms of signature advertising?

    3. Are we still allowed to post links to other sites, as well as forums, in regular posts?

    Thanks for your time. :)

  3. You know in the scene when Starfleet engages the Borg? Well, I own ST: Armada 2 and there's several different classes of ships.

    Nebula-class, Intrepid-class, Akira-class, Steamrunner-class, Sabre-class, and Aegian-class, Sovereign-class, Galaxy-class, Defiant-class and Venture-class ships.

I kept on watching First Contact and recognized these. Akira, Steamrunner, Defiant, class ships. I didn't see any Intrepid, Glaxay, Nebula, Sabre, Aegian, Venture ships. Could anybody recognize any other ships?

The following Starfleet ships can be seen in the battle with the Borg cube.

    U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-E, Sovereign-class

    U.S.S. Defiant NX-74205, Defiant-class

    Nebula-class

    Miranda-class

    Orbeth-class

Four ship-classes designed for the movie:

    Akira

    Steamrunner

    Saber

Norway (never seen again  )

  4. Hi I appreicate all answers.

    1.  In Azati Prime the Xindi knew that their lunar colony outpost was destroyed before Archer was going to go on the mission to destroy the weapon. So what was the reasoning or the point in destroying the colony?  Destroying it to me revealed their location rather than help hid it.

    1. In Azati Prime the Xindi knew that their lunar colony outpost was destroyed before Archer was going to go on the mission to destroy the weapon. So what was the reasoning or the point in destroying the colony? Destroying it to me revealed their location rather than help hid it.

Archer was hoping to destroy the weapon before the Xindi found out. If I were the Captain, I would have beamed down a security team to take control of the outpost.

    2.  I thought in Azati Prime when Trip and Travis went to in the water and toward the weapom ships would have stopped them then.  What do you think?

Who is "they", Trip & Travis or the Xindi?

    3.  Is the Ent J time just a possible outcome?  Since their is nothing about the spheres in the previous Trek series it seemt to me that Archer and Company destroy the Sphere and defeat the builders, space returns to the space seen in the other Trek shows.  The Xindi are a peace with Earth.

Yes, the Ent-J is from a possible timeline. Daniel's explains that Humans and Xindi are suppose to work together and defeat the Xindi. Centuries later, the Sphere Builders return only to be defeated in the 26th century by the Federation, lead by the Enterprise-J.

    4.  Is Daniels from the Ent J's time the 26th century?

No, he's from the 32st century.

    5.  Is the Future Guy the figure from the future a enemy of the Sphere builder's?

Future Guy is from the 27th century, I believe.

    6.  When the first prototype weapon came to Earth and Archers learns that the Xindi are told humans are a threat.  Did Future Guy say that humans destroy the Xindi homeworld or just the species?  In one episode the Enterprise reaches coordinates of the Xindi home world and it has been destroyed already.

    This confuses me a bit.

He says that the Xindi have "been informed" that Humans will destroy their world in 400 years. The NX-01 discovers that the home world is destroyed... then in "Stratagem", we learn from Degra that the 5 Xindi races can't agree on a new home world. That must be the home world that the Humans "supposedly" destory.

    7.  Is Kirk's, Picard's, Sisko's, and Janeway's futures changing because of the TCQ or do you think this was the way it was meant to be?  So do you think it will work out so it won't hurt the established timeline?

I think there was an original timeline, the TCW happens, then a new timeline is created which includes Kirk, Picard, Sisko, & Janeway. So, yes, I believe the TCW is a part of their history, obviously burried by various secret organisations.

    8.  Is the TCW also over at the end of this season do you think?

I think it's going to run the coarse of the series, but if not, it'll probably end next season with a spectacular two-hour event! :flex:

    Thanks

    You're welcome.

  5. Ok this week has been horrible (thanks to my loser parents) Ok Thursday my mom was naging at me because I dont leave the house that often and when I do its only for track or to go to the grocery store.

    This is understandable.

So this morning me and one of my senior class ferinds decided to go to quiznos (just opened in the area I live in) So I ask my mom if I can go and I told her that he would give me a ride home and than I get this response

You fat but (other word) your always gone! How about for once you keep your fu__en little fat but home and just shut up.

That is really cruel for any parent to say. What prompted this? Is your mom usually nice? I don't have enough information.

I talked to my ferinds and they say this happens all the time but parents tell me why do you do this?

My parents were always consistant with me, they never changed their mind on a whim.

  6. Why does cat food smell so bad?

I think it smells delicious! :)

Why (in the English language) do noses run and feet smell?

Noses run becuase, well... got me there.

Feel smell becuase they smell bad as in have a bad odor.

If the plural of "tooth" is "teeth" why isn't the plural of "booth" "beeth"?

That's the English language for ya. :)

    Why is the earth round?

    That's compicated.

    Why are leaves green?

Same reason why the sky is blue. I've no idea what it is in matter that determines what color the object will be.

Why does 2+2=4 and not 5?

Place two apples on the table. Now place two more apples on the table. Count them, and you have your answer.

Why is everyone so sure that they know the value of 2?

    Huh? :)

What if 2 is a variable?

This question is incomplete. What is the context?

Why does every cat I see hate me?

You might secret a scent, that Humans can't detect, that makes cats think of you as a predator. Do you have a dog? His scent could rub off on you and scare cats.

    Why isn't cat spelled with a k?

Cat looks better than kat. B) I'm sure there's a reason, I just don't know what it is.

    Why is i called a double-u when it looks like a double-v?

    Huh??? :flex:

  7. I have all of seasons 1&2 and some of season 3 downloaded, and they're usually better than when I saw them on TV. B) Anywho, seasons 1&2 are mostly episodic. My advice is to download the series premiere, the TCW episodes, the Romulan episode, and the Borg episode. This way, you see how the show began, can follow the TCW arc, get to see the first Romulan episode, and the only Borg episode which was done as a "follow up" to the 8th movie.

  8. I think that if a show's going to grab my attention, it needs to be great by the 2nd season, otherwise I loose interrest. With that said, I think TOS was great from the beginning as well as TNG, DS9 finding it's stride by season 2 along with VOY, where as ENT got great half way into season 1. B)

  9. I'm back! I'm so glad I worked out what need to be worked out, so here I be! MODS, you can now close this if you feel it neccessary. Nice to be back all! I'll be busy this next 2 or 3 days, rebuiling my site, but after that, I'll be back to regular posting both there and here. :flex:

  10. I'd like to see more of a character-driven movie rather than another action movie like Nemesis.

I liked NEM, but I agree, #11 needs to be less action and more character/story.

I'm thinking of something along the lines of Data's body being recovered and Geordi having to deal deal with the moral dilemmas involved in reassembling his best friend.

There's nothing to recover, Data was incinerated. He's just floating subatomic particles.

But I'd like it if they got away from the big action fight sequences and get back to the true heart of Trek.

Agreed! :roflmao: (I do like big action sequences, but I got plenty from NEM.)

  11. In the season 5 episode "Children of Time", why did the - before I continue, beware of spoilers if you have not seen this episode - descendants of the Defiant simply cease to exist? I know, if the Defiant never went back, then they couldn't exist. This is not true though. If the Defiant never went back, that's dandy and all, but it wouldn't "push" the descendants of the crew out of existance since this is a "new" timeline. I don't see how a "change" to the future would effect the present nor past.

    Anywho, what are your theories?

  12. Dr. Daniel Jackson

I'd love to be Dr. Jackson and study various ancient Earth cultures and then get to see them in real life as evolved cultures on other planets! :eekout: Another reason is that we have very similar personalities and sometimes find him acting the same way I do! :roflmao: Also, we both had to have our appendix removed.

  13. The Enterprise-E having 26 decks in ST:FC is probably a missed type when it should be 24. As for why the ship had a deck 29 in ST:N, I'd assume that this is also a missed type. The film works if you change it to deck 19. However, that still doesn't explain the giant empty cilynder that Riker and the Viceroy faught in. Perhaps it was a down turbolift with that catwalk deployed so people could go "through" the down turbolift shaft instead of taking the long way around? It would make sense. :roflmao:
