As I am sure everyone knows, NASA named one of the first shuttles Enterprise. Not because they liked the aircraft carrier, but because of Star Trek.
I'm pretty sure the words Warp Speed would not be part of our lexicon without Star Trek.
We could go on and on, couldn't we?

I vote for bringing him back, and while we're at it lets bring Data back, too I don't care if it's campy... hokey or whatever. If it played in the theater, I would go see it. If it played on television, I would tune in.

I agree with Spocks Brain. It makes it difficult to read when it's the entire post (for me), so I just don't read them.

Some nights, usually after eating butter pecan ice cream I'll have really vivid, bizarre dreams that are in color, and I can remember details from them.
And, as Deborah Harry sang.... Dreamin' is Free.

I've been doing SETI @ home for nearly 3 years now, and Breast Cancer Research for a year, and I have never had a problem. At first I had an old 500mhz machine that took nearly 24 hours of time to work it's way through one unit. Now, I have a 2.8Ghz machine that crunches the numbers in just 6 hours.
I've also signed on to crunch numbers for breast cancer research. I switch them every Sunday morning. One week I crunch numbers for SETI the next for Breast Cancer Research.
Think how cool it would be if your computer was the one that the spark of actually listening to another world started from! Or yours was the one where the cure for cancer started!
