I knew some of the history in terms of his brother and the scandal that forced him off the throne but not much more than that so I really enjoyed the historical aspect of the movie.I went and saw it in the theater. I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did.
It was very well acted and a compelling story without having to resort to violence or explosions to keep your attention. Plus historical so I felt like I was learning something.

I didn't get that from the episode. You don't know from the episode if her mother is actually dead or if it was just a sprt of dream that she was having. It was an interesting episode, but doesn't it say that the Klingon religion is factually correct and all the others are not?

Didn't see it, but it sounds really out of place.
You probably ought to watch it.

This was one of my favorite season 3 episodes.

Finishing and emailing my UNIX final to my UNIX professor and officially completing the Spring semester putting me on a mini-vacation.

They're going to call it Star Trek 2?

I really enjoyed this episode, it was a good look into some of the Klingon culture.

I believe it completely. I'm not big on conspiracy theories.

It didn't seem that interesting, but we saw it anyway, and loved it. Since I have a minor speech problem myself, I could easily relate to him.
We especially liked the "f***ity, f***ity, f***ity" bit. Personally, I find a long string of expletives much easier to say fast than a long string of regular words.
I had to laugh at the scene where he was really going off, then you hear from the other room... "Dad... what's going on in there??" lol

When it was released I very much enjoyed TMP but setting it next to some of the others I personally wouldn't rank it #1. That's not to diminish it's importance to the franchise though.

Has anyone else seen this movie? I wasn't sure exactly what the movie was about but I saw a commercial for it and it looked interesting so I got it and really enjoyed.
If you haven't seen it, I recommend getting it.

Of those liste, Star Wars.

I give this a 5 also, I loved this episode. Especially the ending.

I really liked Ezri but I think I have to go with Jadzia, we just saw more of her over 6 seasons.
-
I like them all but right now I'm leaning toward the original Enterprise theme.

He also played a giant rabbit in that episode where thoughts came to life.
Too bad. You could tell DeLance was familiar with Trelane when he did Q.
That wasn't William Campbell, that was Billy Blackburn.

That is sad news, I just watched him in the 1955 movie "Battle Cry".
-
The special features on the TOS discs that featured his home movies were some of my favorite features.

Yes, the DVD's do look ok. The only thing that made me even think about it was that I just got a new 58" Plasma in December and in January or February I re-watched all of Enterprise. Once I finished Enterprise I started DS9 and missed having the 16:9 aspect ratio (The other series are all 4:3).^
Maybe it was cheaper that way? I don't know... money is a strong motivator sometimes. I for one am glad... I'd have hated to be forced to buy TNG *again*. lol (On the other hand, the TNG DVDs look pretty good on my 12 year old TV, I can't complain!)
I also think the colors and effects would look awesome in HD, they look great in SD but HD would be amazing.

I heard this the other day in the car...

That is interesting, if I recall correctly she just died within the last few years.
