Ok, after 10 days I took it back. Cool toy but I can't see paying $600 just to play "Angry Birds". Plus it crashed on me a few times and the back case was starting to come apart.
I may end up getting a small netbook if I get anything in the future. My 17" laptop is a little bulky for lugging around every day.

SPOILERS!
So BR won, big surprise. He may be Americas Son but I hated the outcome of this one, so dam predictable and boring. Yes he played a perfect game, yadda, yadda, yadda... OR, more likely, the others just played a stupid game.
I hope it's the latter because otherwise the implication that everyone was willing to throw the game just so Mister Important gets his million bucks is too strong a notion for me to shake. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, that's silly.
I take it back BUT this had better be the last time newbies and seasoned game players get mixed. It isn't fair to the newbies to face seasoned players. All pros or all newbies or I ain't watching it.
The Redemption Island aspect of it was cool.
I've read a lot of comments about this season being boring and predictable, which it really was. Even still I enjoyed Rob's game this time. In the past I've been against him, especially in All Stars but in this season he really did play the perfect game and deserved the victory.
I see now that he has his own show, well part his own show. He's the co-host of a new show called "Around the World in 80 Days".
Next season will have 2 returning players as well. I wouldn't expect them to do what Rob did, I'd expect them to go the route of Russell. From what I've read, it won't be anyone of any noteworthiness (if what I read is actually true).

I think this was an excellent episode, I loved Garaks last line...

I held out hope for the longest time that Dukat would actually be a good guy but they turned him evil so well I wasn't sad to see him go.
Nana Visitor actually got into a fight with the producers because they wanted to make Kira and Dukat have an affair, she refused so they wrote the episode where Dukat had an affair with Kira's mother.

I don't remember if it ever came up here or not but I was surprised to leanr last year that Eric Stoltz was originally Marty McFly and they even shot about a months worth of the movie with him in the role.Back to the Future

That is a good article, I too have always liked Garak. From his first episode with Bashir. "The Wire" was an excellent episode, in fact I'll have to go see if I've rated that in the guide yet.
I do agree with him though about DS9 being different from the other Treks, we saw Dukat go from "bad guy" to "not so bad guy" to "good guy" back to "bad guy" and finally to "pure evil guy" by the end of the series.
Garak you were never really quite sure of.

I know a bill was brought up in 2006 or 2007 but didn't pass back then. I'm not sure what, if any other efforts have happened since then.
-
I know there were discussions of putting President Reagan on the $10 bill, maybe they're starting to hold them back for a pending change.
-
Usually I'm not so into Jake episodes but I really, really loved this one. 5 stars.
While this was technically a "Jake episode", Tony Todd stole the show and made it what it was.
A point of minor trivia, Melanie was played by Rachel Robinson. Andrew (Garak) Robinson's daughter.

This is one of my favorite episodes and rivals "The Inner Light" from TNG. Excellent episode.

I never really liked this episode, it's one of the few of DS9 that I skip when I'm watching. I also agre that Nog, as an Ensign should have taken command as he out ranked everyone on the ship. It's been a while since I've seen the episode, so I don't remember if that possibility was ever discussed by Nog. But by being the ranking officer, he could be held responsible for any wrong doing that happened while he was on the ship.

Welcome to the board!
That's really funny about the German mistake. Just goes to show though that time travel is possible, no matter what the Vulcan Science Directorate may say.

What do you mean by background cameos?I don't think a remastered TNG would make nearly as much an impact as the remastered TOS.
Kor, I agree. I also am concerned that if they remaster it, they will either give the people involved background cameos, as they did with TOS, or that they will be tempted to change scenes. Old fashioned or not, what was filmed is supposed to be canon. Don't tinker with it.
Personally, I'd love to see an HD version if they can make it full screen as well. I too would hate to see them alter anything though. It worked well with TOS and I love the new graphics though.
I also agree that it wouldn't be as big a deal as TOS was but most Star Trek fans that bought the DVD's and now have Blu Ray would probably end up getting the Blu Rays also, assuming they put new special features into them.
-
I understand what he's saying, like if TNG had just been named Star Trek without the "TNG" added to it. He's not saying to call it something without "Star Trek" in the title, just add a subtitle to it. "Star Trek: The Young Uns" or something. Just not "Star Trek". He's saying that "Star Trek" with no subtitle is specifically the 1960's TV show.

I really liked "Move Along Home" too.
"If Wishes Were Horses" was the episode where 3 aliens want to study aspects of fantasy or imagination on DS9, one poses as a duplicate of Dax for Julian and is his "fantasy, submissive" Dax. One poses as Buck Bokai, the baseball player that Jake plays baseball in the holodeck with and the other poses as Rumplestilskin.

Well, I broke down today and drove up to Best Buy and bought a Xoom, I figure I'll try it out and see how I like it. So far it's pretty cool but I've only had it for an hour. If I don't find it useful at all I at least have 14 days to return it.

Those three episodes were a bit too talky and the action sequences seemed forced imo, especially when compared to the perfect balance between talking and action of the prior three episodes, but I really liked the story. I have to recommend it.
The Trek Saga reaching implications of it were amazing. (It even brought greater validity, (not saying canonized) to some of the most beloved Trek novels of all time.) Of course some label it pure fanwank but some are never happy no matter what is done.
My most despised episode of all time is VOYs: The Chute. What a wad of Colon Blow. I finished watching its premier but hated it so I haven't revisited it since. It may have some redeeming quality I overlooked or just didn't get at the time but I don't care, I wouldn't revisit that steaming pile to save me life.
Yeah, I never really liked The Chute either. In fact I've thought about re-watching it a few times recently but opted not to each time.
-
Those three episodes actually explain and correct the reasons you hate the way they did the Vulcans, but that's ok. I'm not trying to talk you into it. Just suggesting you check those three out if you ever decided to re-sample the series.^
Yuck, no. I hate what they did to the Vulcans in ENT. I remember disliking these with a passion, so, nah. I'm not interested. In ENT even less than in VOY.

This was one of the few DS9 episodes that I didn't like very much. I didn't hate it, hence the 2 rating but I didn't really like it very much either. It's been a while since I've watched it so I can't give specifics as to why I disliked it but it's not on my "re-watch" list at all.

That's a shame, as all deaths (well most deaths) are. I knew him by name only though as I've nevr really been into wrestling.
