The Sickbay doors swish open as the Captain enters from the cooridor.

Meanwhile O'Brien is in Transporter Room 2 running a maitenence check when his wife Keiko comes in and asks him what is going on about the pathogen.

O'Brien:I don't know there was an all hands alert on it.But so far no information has been given.Have you gotten a physical yet?

Keiko:No

O'Brien:Well you better go get one.I will once my duty shift is over in an hour.

O'Brien and Keiko kiss goodbye and Kecko leaves while O'Brien continues his maitenence check.

A viewer on O'Brien's station goes fuzzy, and he can barely make out a face with a scrambled voice asking, "Ajust... ...or sig... ...to 543.02 megaj... ...it's imperra... ...future of Starfl... ...invasion..." The signal breaks up and the viewer returns to a Starfleet logo.

O'Brien taps his communicator

O'Brien:Commander La'Forge could you come down to Transporter room 2 and take a look at this monitor.I just got a wierd communication on it.

The monitor blinks back on, filled with static. O'Brien can make out a Starfleet logo, but with something other than an oval behind the arrow... O'Brien then sees the mysterrious face as he hears... "O'Brie... ...it's imperrative that you... ...tivate transp... coordinates 897223 mark 3423... temporal tra... ...the fu... ...destruction.... ...they're here! ...acti... ...now... ...now!" O'Brien sees the face fly back as a dark figure stands where she was sitting. The figure strikes the monitor and the screen goes to static... then a message blinks with transport coordinates, a temporal signature, and the word energize.

O'Brien unsure of what to do decidedes to make a snap decision and enters the transport and temporal coordinates and energises.A figure starts to form and the transporter pad and after the cycle is complete the person that stands before him shocks Miles O'Brien.

The figure is Admiral Kathern Janeway.


O'Brien:O'Brien to Captian Picard you had better come down here.

The futuristic Admiral steps down from the transporter pad, gasps, then collapses to the floor! O'Brien discovers that she was stabbed in the back, prior to transport!

Picard via comm signal, "Message recieved, I'm on my way. Picard out."

Janeway, "O'Brien... trust no one... not even Cou..."

The Admiral passes out from her injury, shortly after, Picard and a medical team rush into the transporter room.

Picard, "Report!"

O'Brien:Sir I recieved a weird communication from what I assume was Admiral Janeway with transporter and temporal coordinates.I entered them then got another communication to energize so I did.The Admiral appeared on the pad,gasped, then collasped.

Medical teams examine the Admiral. Picard draws his phaser and aims it at O'Brien. "How did you know her name?"

O'Brien:Sir? I heard Councelor Troi talking about it to Lt.Delrone when I was having breakfast in ten forward.They said something about there were contacts with Admiral Janeway from the future.

The captain slaps his comm badge. "Picard to Worf, have security teams aprehend Counsellor Troi and Lt. Dellrone!" Picard puts his phaser back in his holster as the medical team carries the wounded Janeway to sickbay. "Mr. O'Brien, tell me everything you heard them say."

O'Brien:Well sir I first heard them saying that there was contact with the Admiral from the future.Lt.Delron said"Well now what?"Councler Troi said"I dont know Ill get in contact with him later today."Then they looked at me cause I think they noticed me watching them.I looked away cause I felt bad for listing in on them and stopped paying attention.

Sir,If I may ask whats going on????Does this have anything to do with the pathogen that was reported?????

Delrone left Sickbay and was confronted by Worf. "Come with me." He said.
"No," Delrone replied. He punched for Worf's head, but Worf quickly blocked it and punched for Delrone's chest. Delrone blocked that and jumped his left foot into Worf, kicking Worf away. When Worf got up, he realized Delrone was gone.

*Riker*

*Enters the transporter room.*

"Captain, what is happening?"

The Captain gives the transporter pad a hard, stern look.

"Commander, have Mr. Worf assign 3 security officers to Chief O'Brien. I want him protected at all times. I'll be in sickbay."

Picard marches out of the transporter room.

*Riker*

*Taps Com badge*

"Riker to security I need three officers to the transporter room immediately."

*Riker*

"I'm sorry chief I can't give you that information, Captain's orders. Also, you are under my orders not to discuss anything that you have seen or heard here today with anyone but myself or the Captain."

DELRONE

Three Officers made it to the Transporter room, only to be confronted by Delrone. They blasted phasers as Delrone quickly ducked and pushed himself into one of the Officer's, spinning that Officer around so that he'd phasered out the other two Officers. "Hey!!" Delrone then kneed and punched that Officer out... He then turned and faced O'Brien who was behind a computer console...

O'Brien grabbed a phaser out of the locker beside him and fired at Delrone.Delrone dodged it with no difficulty.

O'Brien:What the hell?What are you....What do you want?

DELRONE

He flug out his hand and grabbed O'Brien's shirt, pulling O'Brien to lean over the computer console. They were face to face. "Humans..." Delrone answered, in a deeper voice, not his own.

*Riker*

*From his position near the transporter pad Riker had not been noticed by Delrone as he was concentrating on getting to O'Brien. Riker picks up a phaser that had been thrown in his direction by one of the falling security officers, and fires striking Delrone in the back of the neck and sending him sprawling to the floor."

"Are you alright Chief?"

*Taps Commbadge.*

O'Brien:Yes sir Im fine, he is quick!!!I cant belive he dodged that first phaser blast.

Captain Picard enters sickbay. While Dr. Crusher works hard in her office, the Captain visits Admiral Janeway who is now awake.

Picard, "Admiral, care to tell me what's going on?"

Janeway, "The Federation had been completely taken over. I had no choice but to travel back in time, thanks to Borg technology."

Captain Picard takes a step back, looking nervous...

Janeway, "Come come, now, Jeanl-Luc. I know about your experrience with the Borg. Don't worry, you'll have a second experrience that'll bring that trauma to a close..."

Picard, "Second experrience?"

Janeway, "Sorry, I can't say more. Temporal Prime Directive. Now, my Borg temporal transmitter was destroyed in the process of getting here, so I won't be going back. We need to work together to find the queen and destroy her. I know how you feel about destroying alien life, but we've no choice. It's them or us, and I've seen what happens when they win. Are you with me?"

Picard gives a stern, hard look... tugs his uniform... "Yes. Tell me what to do."

*Riker*

*Three Security officers enter the Transporter Room"

"Take Mr. Delrone into custody, use the transporter and secure him in the brig, and post a detail to watch him. I do not want him released unless it is by mine or the Captains orders. And escort Chief O'Brien to his quarters, I want two guards posted there at all times as well."

*Watches as the unconscious Delrone is lifted onto the transporter pad by two Security officers and are trasported to the brig where they secure him behind a level one forcefield.*

Beverly exits her office and walks over to the Captain and Janeway..

Picard, "Beverly, how soon till the Admiral can leave sickbay?"

Admiral Janeway looks at Picard and Beverly, blushes, then looks on toward a nurse working in the background.

Picard, "Is there something you'd like to say?"

Janeway, "You'll find out in 12 years."

Picard gives her a surprised look, then turns back to Dr. Crusher.

O'Brien steps into his quarters and hears the doors lock.Keiko comes running up to him with a worried look on her face.

Keiko:Miles whats going on???????

O'Brien:There was an....incident in the transporter room today.I have been ordered not to discuss it.I am being confined to quarters until further notice.Why I dont know.

DELRONE

Stuck in the Brig, he yells out to anyone there. "Let me out of here!! ...Let me out of here!!" He paces. "You'll all pay. The Federation will pay!" He stops and starts to laugh. "...You think I'm the only one? There's more of us! ...And we want you. And we're going to get you..." He waits for a response, but doesn't get one. "...I've sent out a message!!" Delrone begins laughing again. "They're coming."

Bev- "I don't want to know. You may leave sickbay now if you wish."

"Dr. Crusher, keep me posted." The Captain exits sickbay. Half an hour later, Captain Picard arrives at the brig. "Lieutennant, you're releaved of duty." The Lt. exits as Picard approaches Delrone, behind the force field.

"Mr. Delrone, whoever you are. What is it your kind want?"

DELRONE

"You, Captain... Our last attempt at taking over failed, but this time there's more of us. You see, the Federation is one of the greatest powers in the Alpha Quadrant and my people like that. We are attracted to power. Since our physiology fits so well with Humans, we want you. All of you." He starts laughing. "We've already begun to infect your Starships... There's no stopping us!"

The Captain looks Delrone in the eyes...

"What about peaceful coexistance?"

DELRONE

"Haha! ...Our way is easier and so much more fufilling. We crave the symbiont relation with your bodies. It's like food to us."

Picard, "I've got a better idea..."

The Captain taps a keypad on the wall, dropping the force field.

"I'm going to trust you won't attack me, and in return, I need you to trust me, or you won't get off this ship alive."

Picard draws his phaser.

"Are we at an agreement?"

DELRONE

He's about to attack, but stops, thinking. "Ha! This is some kind of trick... What do you want from me?"

The Captain aims his phaser at Delrone.

"I want you to come with me. It's that or be surgically removed by Dr. Crusher. It's up to you."

DELRONE

"Alright then... I'll come with you."

Captain Picard unlocks the door to the brig and backs into the cooridor.

"This way."

Delrone follows, interested in seeing where this situation goes. He smiles. "So what now, Captain? Do you intend on severing me from this host? It's pointless, you know. Your people learned everything about us years ago."

The captain escorts Delrone into a turbolift...

"Computer, deck 4, main shuttle bay."

The computer chirps, and the turbo moves off...

*Riker*

*Taps combadge*

"Riker to Captain Picard, I was just informed that you have released Mr. Delrone from the brig, may I ask why?"

Captain Picard ignores Riker's hail. The doors swoosh open, and Picard and Delrone enter the massive main shuttlebay.

"We'll take a Type 7 shuttle, they're faster."

Picard shoves Delrone towards the nearest type-7 shuttle.

The Shuttle hovers off the floor as the Bay Doors open on Picard's Command. The Shuttle fly's out through the forcefields and off into space. "I know you are afraid, Captain. In a matter of days, the entire Federation will be under our control."

Picard, "That's what you think..."

The shuttle jumps to warp 4 before the Enterprise can lock on a tractor beam.

*Riker*

"Riker to bridge, set a cours to follow that shuttle, take it in a tractor beam as soon as it is in range, and take Captain Picard and Mr. Delrone into custody."

The turbo-lift doors swoosh open. Admiral Janeway steps onto the bridge, followed by Dr. Crusher with a medical tricorder in hand.

Admiral Janeway approaches Commander Riker, "Commander, I'm taking command. Helm, set coarse for Earth. Maximum warp."
