what if, the Borg did Assimilation to the whole universe:assimilated:

then the borg cant assimilate no more

then what ?

then we are all borg.

Well, their mission would be complete and there would be no reason for them to exist.

Unless their existance is to make sitcoms about borginary life.

I think a classical example might be the Assyrian Empire ca. 600 B.C.- it was a Empire structured almost solely around conquest and expansion....when it ran out of people to conquer...it collapsed.

Thanks for bringing that up. If you look at their culture. They blended culture to accomodate all. It was "perfection"

because they aren't just simply going around & assimilating everything.
They choose who to assimilate, hence it'll take a long time to finish the galaxy, as they wait for each race to improve to a certain level before assimilating them.

IMO, the Borg are also aware about this dilemma your asking.

hence they are studying a new method to seek perfection. by studying the Federation. Maybe they'll find a way to find perfection without total assimilation.


anyway, if & when they do assimilate the universe. All they have to do is go to other dimensions/universes/realities/time

The Borg will not assimilate everyone, only those they think will bring them closer to perfection. The rest will simply be killed.

The Borg are not based solely on exploration and assimilation, as evidenced by their research into the Omega Particle. Their exploratory and assimilation focuses tend to be all that most other races see, however. This does not mean that, because the other races do not see what the Borg are up to, they are not up to anything.

The Borg territory is not a hollow shell filled with empty planets, ringed with cubes bent on assimilation.

To me the borg will be us. We will kill off all of the races until we are left.

Something like that actually happened in Season 2 of LEXX. A being much like the Borg known as Mantrid consumed virtually all the matter in the Light Universe (the Universe parallel to our own) and in so doing caused it to collapse...destroying all planets, stars, and life there. The LEXX only escaped by diving into the singularity created by the collapse and emerging into the Dark Zone (our Universe).

I don't think the Borg could ever assimilate everything. After all, new planets would constantly be formed, then developing life, which would lead to constantly new cultures, which would result in somethng new to assimilate. Sure, at some point it would be take ages for new cultures to develop, but it would still happen.

lets face it if you want the end of the borg... look at the series voyager. THAT was the end of the borg

I'd go back even further than that. I believe the end of the Borg started in "First Contact" with the introduction of the Borg Queen. The Borg just became another villian of the week after that.
