The Horta 0 Posted March 7, 2009 I have just recently finished the Star Trek: Destiny books written by David Mack. Having read this trilogy and many other Star Trek Pocket Books, I believe that this trilogy might be the single most important non-canon series ever written. Finally someone has given the non-canon world the story of how the Borg came into existence (not counting comics, video games and short stories). The events that unfold in these three novels will supplement the written ST non-canon universe for a good two years. Have any of you out there read this series? If so, what are your thoughts. And please... no wiki cheating!!!
A l t e r E g o 9 Posted March 7, 2009 I have to admit, the last novel I read was Eugenics book 3. I am so out of the novels loop it isn't funny. After getting the notion of them not being canon beat into me I just gave up caring. I am however reading Countdown, (it was a gift) but I doubt there will be much discussion of it. David R. George III 0 Posted March 9, 2009 I just finished David Mack's Destiny trilogy, and I absolutely loved it. Expert storytelling, fine writing, and a terrific plot make for a fine set of novels, in my opinion.
