Itchygomba69 0 Posted June 3, 2008 Against all odds, the Pittsburgh Penguins stayed alive in the Stanley Cup finals with a 4-3 victory in Game 5 that ended on Petr Sykora's goal 9:57 into the third overtime Monday night/Tuesday Morning. In the Playoffs the NHL Overtime rules are the periods are the full 20 minutes and that it is 5 on 5 hockey where as in the regular season its a 4 on 4 game lasting only 5 mins then if still tied they decide the game in a shoot-out! Sykora at the beginning of the 3rd Overtime Period told an NBC announcer that he was gonna score the game winning goal. His prediction proved true as h scored the game winning goal to force a game 6 back @ the Mellon Arena Wednesday @ 8:00 PM the game can be seen on NBC, the Pens will try to force a game 7 and that game will be played back in Detroit! :) :( :o
Kor37 9 Posted June 3, 2008 Please don't tell me that they will now adopt that Phil Collins song as their theme. If they do, I'm rooting for the Red Wings!........
