Stephen of Borg 2 Posted June 22, 2005 Commander Chakotay borrows a shuttle from Voyager to perform a Native American ritual to commemorate his father’s death. During the ritual, his shuttle is attacked by a young Kazon boy (Eisenberg) named Kar. Kar is here to earn his honorable Kazon name. The only way to earn his honorable name is by death, either his or the Commander’s. What a fantastic episode. The Kazon are very much like the Klingons. Both believing in there is honor in death, and that mercy is weak. Aron Eisenberg, Nog from DS9, does an excellent job as the Kazon boy Kar. “Initiations” is fantastic, and a much watch for Chakotay fans. ***** out of *****
sea trooper 0 Posted December 30, 2005 Nog turned into a Kazon! Well, Aron Eisenberg. Either way, any episode with my favorite Ferengi deserves a 5!
youbroughtheryouRiker 2 Posted August 25, 2007 3. Didn't grab me at all. Good storyline, and fun acting, but I just wasn't touched all that much. Maybe the action wasn't enough for me, or whatever, but not one I loved too much.
GhostofMajorHayes 10 Posted December 15, 2007 A 4 rating from me. The action could've been better, but i found it an interesting ep mainly because of the insight it offered into Kazon society.
Warrior_Princess 0 Posted April 30, 2008 I gave it a 3, although the Kazons were a strange species they were quite interesting.
