HRH The KING 0 Posted June 6, 2005 Very good episode. It further explored the complexity of Klingon culture. Worf becomes disabled and wishes to die to prevent the humiliation. The conflict between the two doctors was interesting and well written, although I had to agree with Picard on this one. Worf could not have lived with such a severe disability because of the warrior nature of the Klingon Empire. A solid character building episode, although I didn't really like the ending where Worf "dies" and comes back to life, but I can forgive that. youbroughtheryouRiker 2 Posted January 19, 2008 Is it just me or does Caroline Kava in this episode remind anyone else of Ellen DeGeneres? Seriously. But I didn't think Alexander was well done this episode, and this wasn't Dorn's proudest moment either. The doctors' debate was well worth watching, and Picard and Riker had a nice moment together too. Still, this just wasn't that great of an episode for me. 3. GhostofMajorHayes 10 Posted January 19, 2008 I give it a 5. I liked the story and i admired how Worf did not want to exist as a gimp. I was proud of his character in this one. Imo, there are too many people that merely exist as shells of themselves and are satisfied to be labelled 'disabled'. This ep helped to remind us of honor and just how hard it can be,yet at the same time how worthwhile it can be to regain our dignity. A great Worf moment. :)
