A giant ship swallows the Enterprise. While inside, the crew is confronted by an alien species that enters the crew's bodies and take over. It starts innocent enough, but a problem soon developes...

"The Crossing" sure had a slow beginning, and started off not promising to be that good, but as the story progressed so did the interest. The story of how aliens want to take over the crew is a great story premise. Dr. Phlox becomes the hero of this story since the aliens can't enter him. He gets into fights with several crew members and we see his fighting skills. Overall, "The Crossing" is an episode that took time to develope, but once it did, it was fun.

**** out of *****

This was a 3. What put me off about this episode is that Archer seemed REALLY out of character. You'd think he'd JUMP at the chance for this kind of exchange. But no. This was supposed to be a foreshadowing of what the aliens were really all about. But it didn't fly and settle with me all that well. But the action and all worked well enough for me. Nice to see Mayweather doing a little more here. But alas, I've still got to bring it down to 3.
