  1. I am looking forward to seeing this movie. I saw a few clips on the film review program the other night and it looks good. They were saying that it is one of the best game / movie crossovers to date sounds good to me.
  2. I am a chocolate chip muffin which sounds about right as I am a total chocoholic. It says about chocolate chip types... Or at least, I would be if I was a muffin. *grin* People who match chocolate chip muffins are modern and fast-paced, if a bit generic. We're usually go-getters that like flashy new things and socializing. Just don't try eating us before we've baked; raw eggs and baker's chocolate are a bad mix. *wink*
  3. Another terrible loss. This is such sad news my thoughts and prayers are with Mr Peters' family and friends. Mr Peters will be greatly missed, may he rest in peace.
  4. I watched the shuttle land on the news. I was really glad to see them land safely.
  5. I have given it a nine and below in spoilers is why. I am glad I had my box of tissues with me I needed them not only the end of a series but the end of an era. Trek has been on or we have been awaiting the start of a new series since I was 12 in 1988 when I saw the first TNG episode. I will really miss it my love of Trek in all forms has got me through a lot of rough times. Here is what I thought of "These are the voyages" Overall I enjoyed the episode there were a few things that I didn't like but lots that I did. Like Click For Spoiler I really liked the references to the other incarnations of Star Trek e.g. when Trip and Malcolm said "all good things must come to an end". "All good things" being the title of the final TNG episode. Also when Trip and Archer made a toast to "the next generation". I liked how it ended with the beginning of the federation. I really loved the last sequence especially as Archer got to say "to boldly go where no man has gone before" it made me cry. I think that, that sequence alone was a stroke of genius. I was tapping the show to watch again and I had to rewind and watch that bit again straight away. Did not like as much Click For Spoiler My biggest thing is that they killed Trip, it was really mean. I love the character and the fact that they killed off one of my favourite characters and it's the last ever episode just seemed mean. It was bad enough that it was the last episode without killing him. I didn't think that enough time was taken over it everyone seemed to just carry on about their business and not mourn for him. I have this hope that someday Enterprise will return and Enterprise without Trip Tucker just won't be Enterprise. The final thing is that I really wanted to hear Archers speech and when it went off I felt a bit short changed. These are just minor quibbles though, I loved the final episode, I loved Enterprise and I always will.
  6. I am going to watch the final episode. I watched the second part of Terra Prime last night (Tuesday) on Sky one and thought it was excellent. I will probably need a box of tissues for the finale because I don't want the series to end and will really miss it.
  7. This is such sad news. My thoughts and prayers go to his family and friends. James Doohan was such an excellent actor and he will be surely missed. He will live on in our hearts forever.
  8. I couldn't believe it when I turned on the TV yesterday morning. Only a few hours earlier we had been celebrating the olympic win. This morning they say at least 37 people have died and 700 are injured, they think that the number of fatalities will rise. There are still families that have not heard from their loved ones. I can not begin to imagine what the families of the dead, injured or missing are feeling. My heart goes out to the people who were involved and their families.
  9. I'm still in shock, I can't believe that we won them. The result was very close 54 votes to 50 votes. It's so exciting.
  10. I only have one thing to say........ Yeahsureyabetcha he sure is fine. Sorry I could't resist as you can see Richard Dean Anderson mmm, I can't help myself. :jaw:
  11. I haven't seen it yet, I will have to wait until the DVD comes out because I can't get to the cinema. The advert looks good though.
  12. "Oasis" Lyla :(
  13. Thanks for the quiz Lord Of The Borg. Here is my result. Your power is: Clairvoyance Explanation: Your power is that you can look into the future and see what is coming. How far and long you can look is all depending on your skill level. This can, as all powers, be used in both evil and good. Even if it may seem like a boring ability it is a huge responsibility for the carrier, becase they are constantly tempted with doing the wrongs deeds (e.g. cheat on a test). It takes high morals to not be brought down with it. Therefor you fit with this power quite well. You take responsibility and do what is the right thing to do. This does not make you a saint, since you're only human after all. But it makes a trustworthy person and you are loyal to camrades and/or team mates. In school you were probably a good student. If you were social varies from person to person, but most clairvoyant people tend to prefer their own company or that of close friends and family. That is because you are wise and knows how to treasure the reliable in your life, since you know popularity can be a false element. You are also not that big on taking risks and prefer what is already explored. That is because you don't like suprises, they can turn out bad and then you won't be in control. Negative aspects: Since you're always doing the right thing and being trustworthy all the time you can become frustrated. Also, all that you carry on your shoulders may stress you out. You need to relax to be in good mental shape.
  14. The thing that made TNG so special for me was the crew. I loved the way the characters interacted, the way they solved problems as a team, the humor they had. I enjoyed watching friendships develop, when they started out most of them were just colleagues but by the end they were true friends who would give their lives for each other not just because it was their duty but because they truly cared about each other. The TNG crew really did become like family not just with each other but I feel the writers made the viewer feel part of the family too. Just excellent.
  15. I'm afraid it has to be 'The Way To Eden' for me too I just didn't enjoy that episode. I found the space hippies were really annoying.
