  1. BEFORE YOU THINK, OH BOY. READ THIS AND THINK ABOUT IT, IT MAKES A WHOLE LOT OF SENSE. CAUSE GOD KNOWS WE NEED TO DO SOMETHING BOUT GAS PRICES, THERE GONNA BE A KILLER, NOT JUST AT THE PUMPS BUT EVERYWHERE ELSE CAUSE EVERYBODIES GOT TO MAKE UP THE DIFFERENCE IN HIGHER FUEL PRICES. SO READ ON AND HOPEFULLY WE CAN ALL DO THIS AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Now here is something that just might work. We Americans HAVE to do something about the fuel prices. The gas war WILL work if we can get enough people involved. I am definitely going to join in. How about you!!! GAS WAR - an idea that WILL work This was originally sent by a retired Coca Cola executive . It came from one of his engineer buddies who retired from Halliburton. It ' s worth your consideration. Join the resistance!!!! I hear we are going to hit close to $4.00 a gallon by next summer and it might go higher!! Want gasoline prices to come down? We need to take some intelligent, united act ion. Phillip Hollsworth offered this good idea. This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the "don't buy gas on a certain day" campaign that was going around last April or May! The oil companies just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to "hurt" ourselves by refusing to buy gas. It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them. BUT, whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can really work Please read on and join with us! By now you're probably thinking gasoline priced at about $1.50 is super cheap. Me too! It is currently $2.79 for regular unleaded in my town. Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a gallon of gas is CHEAP at $1.50 - $1.75, we need to take aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS control the marketplace..... not sellers. With the price of gasoline going up more each day, we consumers need to take action. The only way we are going to see the price of gas come down is if we hit someone in the pocketbook by not purchasing their gas! And, we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves. How? Since we all rely on our cars, we can't just stop buying gas. But we CAN have an impact on gas prices if we all act together to force a price war. Here's the idea: For the rest of this year, DON'T purchase ANY gasoline from the two biggest companies (which now are one), EXXON and MOBIL. If they are not selling any gas, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit. But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of Exxon and Mobil gas buyers. It's really simple to do! Now, don't wimp out at this point.... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people. I am sending this note to 30 people. If each of us sends it to at least ten more (30 x 10 =3D 300) ... and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 =3D 3,000)...and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth group of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers. If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it..... THREE >>>>HUNDRED MILLION >>>>PEOPLE!!! Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people That's all. (If you don't understand how we can reach 300 million and all you have to do is send this to 10 people.... Well, let's face it, you just aren't a mathematician. But I am, so trust me on this one.) How long would all that take? If each of us sends this e-mail out to ten more people within one day of receipt, all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next 8 days!!! I'll bet you didn't think you and I had that much potential, did you? Acting together we can make a difference. If this makes sense to you, please pass this message on. I suggest that we not buy from EXXON/MOBIL UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES TO THE $1.30 RANGE AND KEEP THEM DOWN. THIS CAN REALLY WORK.

  6. I meant to reply to this since i first seen it on opening saturday. but alas i've been busy. I LOVED IT. it was different than what were used to, but very familiar at the same time. it had good action, excellent FX, all around entertaining. also after MUCH BEGGING i convinced my wife to go (WHO HATES STARTREK AND ALL SCI FI) She actually really liked it. i think this movie has more than enough to keep startrek fans, and it also can be a good movie for anyone who never really got into it. I know there's plenty of haters here, (I REALLY JUST DONT GET IT) I do understand everyone has different tastes and ideas but some of the reasons i read are just crazy. but ill just leave it at that. i cant wait for it to come out on dvd and for the next movies to come out.

  10. it may only shift demand but a shift away from a major company can hurt them enough to help us. anyway better to try and fail than to sit around and let them continue to shove it in and bread it off.
  12. ive got a question for you people. we first seen the andorians in TOS, then we now have seen them a couple of times in ENT. the question is, seeing how they were obviously in closer proximity to earth, why did we never see them in TNG, or DS9? did they just vanish or what? well i wonder if any of you know the answer.

  16. You are a Samurai. You are full of honour and value respect. You are not really the stereotypical hero, but you do fight for good. Just in your own way. For you, it is most certainly okay to kill an evil person, if it is for justice and peace. You also don't belive in mourning all the time and think that once you've hit a bad stage in life you just have to get up again. It's pointless to concentrate on emotional pain and better to just get on with everything. You also are a down to earth type of person and think before you act. Impulsive people may annoy you somewhat. Main weapon: Sword Quote: "Always do the right thing. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest" -Mark Twain Facial expression: Small smile

  18. anyone here a photogropher or know about it? i love taking pictures, and i love nature. i finally got an older 35mm camera from a family member, a canon ae-1, that has the manual fstops, and such, now i want to know about taking night shots, such as a full moon, and things of that nature, i love a beautiful clear starry night, and love pictures of such things, also pictures of thunderstorms you see around are so amazing, i want to be able to take these shots and have them come out. i have another 35mm camera but its a automatic one, when i got it from a friend i didnt know about such things, and with this you cant set the fstops or anything so the pictures i took of the full moon make the moon look light a light bulb glaring in the picture. so my question to any of you who know about it, is what kind of settings, and shutter speeds, and film speeds do i need to take good night shots? any help would be appreciated thank you very much. :P
  19. UH i am more concerned for her well being than the fact that she just hasnt called me back. but alas ill just leave a message, and let it go. see what happens.
  20. i need answers right quick because tonight is the only night i can do it before friday. hers the question. this girl ive been talking to that suddenly stopped calling back, well i seen her agian the other day, sunday it was, i was walking down the beach and seen her friend, wound up that i walked past there apt, so her friend was telling me some things about her, and of course i wound up seeing her too, for a few hours i ate dinner with them. anyway im not going to get into what she told me about her, but none the less she has had a lot of thinigs going on latley, with family, health, and her job. she apparently has a hard time with taking help or anything from people, much less ask for it, i know she has been screwed by many people, including family, and quite a few other things. she told me in one of our lenghthy talks that when she gets upset she just doesnt feel like talking to anybody. , so seeing as i havent heard from her again since sunday and tried calling her twice since, and im sure, from our talks, and her friend that she really is interested, i just think between everything she just has a hard time opening up to people too much, in fear of getting hurt, so the question at last is this, i have tickets for friday night baseball game, and i wanna know if i should just go to her apt and ask her face to face if she and her daughters would like to go to the game on friday. so what do you think, should i go and ask, or just leave it as it is, and wait and see if she ever calls me back? kinda lame i know, but i still need lots of advice on women, one for 15 years kinda leaves ya outta practivce.

  25. well yesterday at work a unusual thing happened, they had me, the NEWBIE cook, and from the responses i heard apparently it was a hit. made taco salad for lunch, then marinated chicken, twice baked potatoes, corn, and biscuits for dinner. now i know i can cook, but my menu is rather limited, any recipes from anyone? simple, and inexpensive. our lunch and dinner costs are four bucks a person per meal. so when i cooked yesterday i went eleven dollars over, which comes out of my pocket. but it was neat, i started doing the dishes after we were done eating dinner and the lt saw that i was doint it, and got right up and took over, "when you cook, you dont clean" it was cool, but i felt really awkward watching the lt clean and not me. but i do love my house, firehouse that is. so any recipes would be cool.
