I thought this might be an interesting poll to see how many of us work and how many of us are students. And it'll give us an opportunity to talk about our jobs and /or schools..

As for me. I've worked in electronic companies for 27 years. Been on the current job for 8 years. I work in a Robotics Comapny in Massachussets. As cool as that sounds I actually don't get to work on the robots. Only on the Power Supplies and Controllers for those Robotic systems..As is the norm for electronics companies I have been thru several layoffs and cutbacks there. Right now I am in a busy period there. Sometimes you may see me here thru the day. That is when I'm at work. I usually come to this site on my breaks and when I'm bored with nothing to do..

Update - I still work at the same company but I have changed jobs recently. I went thru a very slow period and felt it was time for a change. I am now much busier at work and actually work inside a Clean Room on Vacuum Cassette Elevators..

What about you all ??

I put other option. My husband works for a cellular company to support the family. I've been a minister for 9 years but I was inactive for the last 3. I've recently gone back to the ministry. It's work, but it's a volunteer work. I wasn't sure what catagory volunteer work went into so I just chose other. 82312.gif

After working 10 years in a dead end job, I quit to go back to school. I will be getting my associates degree hopefully in December of 2004. I am currently working parttime as an intern at the school I am attending. My future plans for furthering my education are undecided right now.

Right now, I'm a student at the University of Kentucky. (Go Wildcats! ) I could be working as well, but,,, nahh :wow: - I probably would't have the time anyway. I want to wait til graduation before fully getting into the job market; my respect to all of you already in it.

I work.

I'm the accountant / buyer for the North American research and technology division of Bosch, an auto parts and comsumer goods manufacturer headquartered in Stuttgardt, Germany. And before you ask - No I don't speak German and No, I've never been there.

I'm also the VP of Administration for my local chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants as well as the treasurer of a nonprofit corporation. I am also studying for my Certified Management Accountant credential.

In my copious spare time I am the Vulcan Chief Engineer of a Klingon ship with a joint Klingon/Federation crew lost in the Delta Quadrant.

Yep, I'm a nerd.

I work as a sales manager with a chemical plant in Germany. I like it, it's never boring - all the times new things happen. It could be perfect - without my boss *sigh*

Are you serious? That sounds cool.

I have been a teacher (my favorite job) and an office manager (which I hope I will never go back to), and currently am working as an account manager for a major American credit card bank. I've only been there a little while, and I'm not sure if I'll like it or not - but I sure like having a paycheck again...

What about you all ??

I have to work beecause I'm not independently wealthy and I'm not married. I also need to pay my rent and the bills so working for me is essential.

I have been working in child care centres for the last six years or so. I started out as an assistant and now I'm qualified, which means I'm in charge of a room of children. I'm currently working with children aged 0-2 years and I have two assistants that are fantastic. I wasn't too sure about working with babies at first, as I have never worked with this age group before but I'm really enjoying it so far. Previously, I worked with toddlers (2-3 year olds) and children aged 3-5 years, plus school aged kids.

Although I do love my job, I dream about the day when I win enough money in the lottery, so I never have to work again!!

Madam Captain out!!

10.000 dollars of flowers each week, the flower auction has about 2000 buyers.

Atleast 250 sorts of flowers and plants.
