welfconfed 2 Posted January 15, 2004 In the book "Star Trek Star Charts" on page 36 (alpha quadrant political map) it shows a area referred to as the Patriarchy and I was wondering if anyone could tell me where that came from because I'm drawing a blank. Also,I was curious if anyone else thought it odd that the Federation was represented as so thinly spread out like some sort of octopuss or is this just the effect of trying to represent a three dimensional space on a two dimensional page.
