This one is literally in my backyard. I think I will be going to this con.

We will be going again this year. We got tickets for the TNG reunion, with Shatner hosting, at the Rosemont Theater. Unfortunately we missed out on getting the economical four day tickets which sold out two months before the con, which is unprecedented. We have Saturday and Sunday tickets so far. They continue to add guests too, including a couple of the Big Bang Theory cast -but they are scheduled on Friday :(

 

It should be fun but will probably be VERY crowded, possibly worse than last year.

I think I will stay for a day and then drive back to Wisconsin. Not much for the Big Bang Theory but a chance to hear Shatner speak sounds interesting.

Personal note: I'm annoyed that only part of the schedule has been released thus far. Times for William Shatner and Patrick Stewart are not yet announced. Details on a non Trek film series just came out. It seems that you have to pay extra to see the Doctor Who panel. This makes it nearly impossible to plan ahead, especially as far as budgeting funds, not to mention time!
