Vic 17 Posted April 10, 2013 George Takei was one of the recipients of a Shorty Award, handed out Monday at the 5th Annual Shorty Awards Ceremony. The Shorty Awards “honor the best in social media; recognizing the people and organizations producing real-time short content across Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, YouTube, Foursquare and the rest of the social web.” Takei received his award for Distinguished Achievement in Internet Culture.
