April-May 2013 Trek Conventions And Appearances

There will be twenty-eight conventions, shows or appearances in April and May that feature actors of interest to Star Trek fans. This listing of conventions and shows features actors from all of the televised series and several of the Star Trek movies.

 

April begins with the Steel City Con, which will be held from Apr. 5-7 at the Monroeville Convention Center in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, USA. In attendance at the Steel City Con will be Dwight Schultz.

 

Next up is Planet Comicon, to take place April 6-7 at Bartle Hall in Kansas City, Missouri. In attendance at Planet Comicon will be George Takei, Will Wheaton, Daphne Ashbrook (Melora), and Lee Meriwether (Losira).

 

The Kansas City FilmFest will be held on Apr. 10-14 at the Alamo Drafthouse Mainstreet in Kansas City, Missouri. In attendance will be John de Lancie.

 

Next up is the Supanova Pop Culture Expo, to be held April 12-14 at the Melbourne Showgrounds in Melbourne Australia. In attendance at the Supanova Pop Culture Expo will be Tony Todd.

 

On April 13-14, FanSci 7 will take place at the Centro Cultural Borges, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In attendance at FanSci 7 will be Marina Sirtis.

 

On April 19-21, the Hollywood Show will be held at the Westin Los Angeles Airport in Los Angeles, California. The Next Generation‘s Dwight Schultz will be at the Hollywood Show.

 

Also taking place April 19-21 will be StarFest, taking place at the Denver Tech Center in Denver, Colorado. In attendance at this convention will be Avery Brooks, Cirroc Lofton, Kevin Dilmore, and Dayton Ward.

 

Yet another convention will take place this weekend, Trek Trax, which will take place at the Holiday Inn Atlanta Perimeter in Atlanta, Georgia. Manu Intiraymi, Keith R.A. DeCandido, and James Cawley will be appearing at Trek Trax.

 

And Down Under, the Supanova Pop Culture Expo will also be held from April 19-21, at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre in Gold Coast, Australia. Tony Todd will be appearing at Supanova Pop Culture Expo.

 

Next up is the Fan Expo Vancouver will take place April 20-21 at the Vancouver Convention Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Jonathan Frakes will be in attendance at Fan Expo Vancouver.

 

The Official Star Trek Convention will take place April 26-28 at the Crowne Plaza Cherry Hill in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. In attendance at this convention will be: Vaughn Armstrong, Rene Auberjonois, Casey Biggs, Avery Brooks, Jeffrey Combs, Michael Dorn, Aron Eisenberg, Max Grodenchik, Chase Masterson, Gates McFadden, Ethan Phillips, Armin Shimerman, and Nana Visitor.

 

On that same weekend, Chiller Theatre will be held at the Sheraton Parsippany in Parsippany, New Jersey. In attendance at Chiller Theatre will be John Billingsley, Bonita Friedericy, Jeffrey Combs, Sherry Jackson, and David Warner (Chancellor Gorkon).

 

And the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo will also be held the same weekend, taking place at the McCormick Place – West Building in Chicago, Illinois. In attendance at this convention will be Lee Arenberg.

 

Another convention to take place on April 26-28 will be Sci-Fi on the Rock, which will take place at the Holiday Inn in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada. Dominic Keating will be at Sci-Fi on the Rock.

 

Sun City SciFi will also be held on Apr. 26-28, at the El Paso Marriott in El Paso, Texas. In attendance will be Marina Sirtis and Joseph Gatt (Star Trek into Darkness).

 

And the Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo will be held at the BMO Centre in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on the same weekend. In attendance at this convention will be Wil Wheaton and Walter Koenig.

 

Wrapping up April will be the Wales Comic Con, which will be held on Apr. 28 at Glyndwr University in Wrexham, Wales. In attendance at Wales Comic Con will be Robert Picardo.

 

There will be eleven conventions or appearances in May, beginning with Texas Frightmare Weekend, which will be held at the Hyatt Regency DFW Airport in Dallas, Texas on May 3-5. In attendance at the Texas Frightmare Weekend will be Jeffrey Combs and Denise Crosby.

 

Next up is the popular FedCon, which will be held May 9-12 at the Hotel Maritim in Dusseldorf, Germany. In attendance at FedCon will be Robert Beltran, LeVar Burton, James Cawley, Roxanne Dawson, J.G. Hertzler, Dina Meyer (Commander Donatra), Anthony Montgomery, Robert O’Reilly, Linda Park, Ethan Phillips, Mark Allen Shepherd, Alexander Siddig, and Garrett Wang.

 

On May 10-12, the Ottawa ComicCon will take place at the Ernst & Young Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. In attendance will be Jonathan Frakes and Wil Wheaton.

 

The Dallas Comic Con will be held on May 17-19 at the Irving Convention Center in Irving, Texas. In attendance will be LeVar Burton, Gates McFadden, William Shatner, and Brent Spiner.

 

On the same weekend, the Motor City Comic Con will be held at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan. In attendance at the Motor City Comic Con will be Walter Koenig, Robert Duncan McNeill, and Marina Sirtis.

 

The Phoenix Comicon will be held from May 23-26 at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona. In attendance will be Walter Koenig, Bill Mumy, Nichelle Nichols, and Garrett Wang.

 

On the same weekend, STICCON will be held at the Centro Congressi Europeo in Bellaria, Italy. In attendance at STICCON will be Robert Duncan McNeill and Robert Picardo.

 

Comicpalooza will be held on May 24-26 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. In attendance at Comicpalooza will be Avery Brooks, Armin Shimerman, Sir Patrick Stewart, Joseph Gatt, and Rene Auberjonois.

 

From May 30-June 2, the Philadelphia Comic Con will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. William Shatner will be a guest at this convention.

 

The Denver Comic Con will be held from May 31-June 2 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado. In attendance at the Denver Comic Con will be George Takei and Wil Wheaton.

 

Wrapping up May will be The Official Star Trek Convention, to be held from May 31-June 2 at the Westin O’Hare in Rosemont, Illinois. In attendance at this convention will be Rene Auberjonois, Casey Biggs, Avery Brooks, LeVar Burton, Jeffrey Combs, Michael Dorn, Aron Eisenberg, Jonathan Frakes, Max Grodenchik, Chase Masterson, Gates McFadden, Ethan Phillips, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner, Patrick Stewart, Nana Visitor, and Vaughn Armstrong.
