A screen-accurate replica of the actual prop worn in Star Trek will soon be available for pre-order. The Starfleet Academy Class Ring is made from a “high-strength, scratch-resistant metal alloy that simulates the sheen and brilliance of polished sterling silver for a fraction of the cost.” The ring will come in a “custom metal case with a clear topside window.” Priced at $19.95, pre-ordering for the ring begins at some point in the first quarter of this year.
