I can't wait to see this movie Friday and it will be especially interesting since Anton Yelchin (Chekov) will be playing Kyle Reese (the hero of the first movie)

Click for Spoiler:

One person I follow on Twitter, whose opinion I do value (David Hewlett, the actor from Stargate Atlantis) basically state that terminator Salvation was McG-odawful.

You know its bad when the directors name becore the joke too.

I was excited to see it, then I saw it, and that was it. I was falling asleep half way through, the only things keeping me awake were the explosions, because explosions rock :rantoff: ! That was the only terminator movie that I will never want to see again, ever. The story line didn't really add anything to the Terminator universe.

Yo, dudes! Why dog the movie, it's a movie, deffinantly gonna be better than that crap Transformers. I mean seriously, alien robots in live action, the show died in the late 80's, early 90's it should stay dead. Now as for Salvation being boring, thats a bunch of b.s., it had a plot that added infinantly to the timelines, all of them. For one it reenforced CONNORS feelings of Terminators, which he had to suppres and almost lost because the other leaders where stupid. And it dealt with the fact that the future is not as expected, for one Connor does not jump out and get imediatly worshiped, he gets told to get in the back of the line. Imagine if you were in his position, knowing you were the destined savior of humanity, and to have that happen, your entire life squelched in an instant. And the movie introduced the war EVERYONE should be talking about, i mean yeah an evil Romulan traveling back to change history is okay, but having good, and bad travel back, having a world engulfing war, having over three BILLION people die in an instant, there is no comparison, in my view Salvation was the better movie. Don't get me wrong i liked them both emensly, have to buy the dvd's, but Salvation broght more to the table, thats my opinion and i'm sticking to it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And by the way, incase you were sleeping and missed it. "If we stay the course, we ARE DEAD, WE ARE ALL, DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"- John Connor- Terminator Salvation. And Anton Yelchin was a fantastic Kyle Resse, and Chekov, is he two different people?

3 left a lot of things to be explained. The TX was supposedly the same polyalloy as the T-1000 but they never explained how it could now produce chemicals, moving parts, flame throwers, etc. that the T-1000 couldn't form. (I can think of how it might be possible but my theory wouldn't be a canon explanation.)

I think they threw in the T-X as a filler character. It reaslly wasn't that smart, it was to slow, and it just a boring character, as is my opinion with Seven, MEH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scenario:A Borg Sphere in the Terminatorverse experiences a severe malfunction, and crashes on Earth...right after Judgement Day.....Skynet is unable to target the incoming 'object' in time to destroy it-or damage it further-and it ends up going, scattered everywhere..but just enough remaining intact...for 'Net's soldiers to recover some technology.....

Ah a scenario! Well have to get in on it. Okay as skynet starts to empliment it's new tech, it activates the surviving Borg. Borg wake up start to assimilate humans, and Terminators override skynet's programing. So now the original enemys, are ally's????????????????????????????????????????????

Oh, oh, way to go! I actually inspired someone! Gor for it, in the event you're serious!(Just put me in the 'acknowledgements' section!...) I won't charge a fee for concept....but will take a seat with you at the MTV Movie Awards, when you hit it big with the screenplay! Yuks.Seriously though, my writer's brain is always on...whatever that comes down to...I do think that crossover series are interesting, Gene himself was good with such a concept-that is, for certain, all his creations....other franchises, as well, perhaps...

You know, I rather did wonder, 'did I actually start something here?' Hm. I would suggest that such a thing be best put in the fic section..we'll see. I have been busy at an rpg, and my writing otherwise needs attention, but...will give some thought-warning-I am not a Terminator expert....just the basics...

The only problem with that is the T-1000 was made up of millions, and millions (hey sounds like "The Rock") of little tiny machines, there is no cpu controling the thing, the entire thing IS the cpu, it's liquid metal, not hard metal.

Time travel in a Terminator movie is like being the plumber or mechanic in a porno - It is a very loose excuse to get to the action, anyone expecting accuracy is missing the point, and having much less fun than everyone else.

I kind of lost interest after T2, I think I saw T3 but couldn't really tell you about a single scene from it. Was Arnold in that one? I know he wasn't in this new one, but I really have no desire to even download this new one.

Being the Governator prevented Schwarzenegger from acting in T4 for legal reasons (Then what is his excuse for not acting in his other movies?), but he did allow the studio to use his likeness from footage before holding office. They superimposed his face on the bodybuilder who played Arnold Schwarzenegger in "Run, Arnold, Run!" when the T-101 prototype was introduced.

Schwarzenegger was in T3 but most of the scenes I remember involved Kristina Loken in a tight skirt, or in leather, or growing her boobs, or something like that.
