youbroughtheryouRiker 2 Posted March 7, 2009 I'm talking about the name of the game "Dabo." I was watching some old "Match Game" reruns on GSN, and when it came to the Big Money Match, in later years, instead of the contestant picking a celebrity, they'd spin a wheel to pick a celebrity to match exactly. The wheel also had star-marked spaces along the perimeter/circumference of the wheel. If the needle pointed in a star spot, you could double your winnings. And when the wheel was spinning, the crowd would chant "Double! Double!" Now, these stars look a little bit like the asterisk marks or whatever, that would show up on the spinning of the Dabo wheel on DS9, not to mention that the "Match Game" crowds chanting "Double! Double!" sound eerily like they're actually saying "Dabo! Dabo!" Is this just coincidence, just me, or does anyone know if there is a solid connection. I think it's more than coincidental. Anyone know for fact where the name "Dabo" or those jack-like star/asterisks came from?
