I think that Dr. Zimmerman is a good name. It was actually used in some of the Voyager books.

He does seem to have survived just fine without it, I will say. And, yes, it's not so much a problem, that he doesn't have one..well, until two decades after Voyager gets home. ''Joe''...'' ouch. ''Joseph'' is okay. I am used to just the title-name. Kes I am sure would have had no problem.
