Ok, finally got the videos of Lake Mead and Hoover Dam uploaded. So for those interested (which is probably very few of you lol), here they are.

Part 1 starts off walking from the Luxor to the Excalibur where we got on a tour bus. From there (after going to the bus depot to get on the correct bus) we went to Ethel M's Chocolate factory/M&M World and their Cactus garden. They make really good candy there but very expensive candy. From there we went to Lake Mead and boarded the Dessert Princess river boat for a lunch cruse on Lake Mead to the Hoover Dam.

Part 2 is on the Lake Mead Cruise and you can see Hoover Dam in it also. Once the cruise was completed we took the bus (bus 316) back to Hoover Dam for a guided tour of the Dam itself and then were able to walk from Nevada to Arizona across the dam and back again. It was so hot outside that in the 10 or 15 minutes (or 20 minutes) that it took to walk across the dam and back the sun had heated my camera up so much that it was actually uncomfortable to hold. At one point in part 2 the guide told me that it was over 110 in the shade outside. They actually had to warn everyone not to touch the metal hand rails outside because we'd burn ourselves pretty badly if we did.

Part 3 continues inside the Dam and moves outside for the walk across the Dam from Nevada to Arizona.

Part 4 finishes up the walk across the dam and the ride back into Las Vegas. At the end of the video we were in the Sahara casino (I think it was the Sahara) and my camera was recording and I didn't realize it. So you get to see a little of the casino and it's carpet and ceiling and stuff like that lol.

I wouldn't mind taking this tour again, but I'd love to take the Grand Canyon tour.

wow you guys are camera crazy lol but at least you'll remeber just about everything

lol Well it was my first time in Vegas... my first time being anywhere west of Texas in fact. Plus I had just bought this brand new HD Video camera so there was no way I wouldn't video as much as possible lol.

Can you tell I really hate having cameras on me? :o

As I've been looking at the photos and watching the videos, I was thinking that there should have been more pictures of you and Kevin. Although I'm in very few of my own vacation pictures so I guess I shouldn't talk. lol

I'm usually the one taking the pictures so I'm rarely in any. Mandy got me in a few though. As for the videos, I was the one with the video camera so that made it hard for me to be in them lol.

What? Handing the video camera to Mandy would have been too difficult for you???

She refused to do it.

It's call flip the camera around Dummy and and point lens at self. :giggle:

I am like all of you most shots with still camera or camcorder I am not in them. Sheese mine is a 3000 dollar camera! Plus i do have a great Sony camcorder that is just about as expansive, so they pretty much don't go into someone else's hands. Homer uses it a lot only cause he say I am not in many pics.

Yeah, my camera wasn't $2000, it was only about $800 but I rarely get in front of it. After I got back home from the trip I realized that I should have taken more with us in the pics.
