I don't know why Nontheist wasn't the # 1 position. Maybe it was because I don't believe in sociology, psychology, etc. either.

But where is the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster on here?

Believe what you believe and disbelieve what you disbelieve but comments like this are just insulting to those that do have a specific faith and is not needed.

I'm atheist, and I took this twice trying to get it to say that...but the best I could get was 84%...I don't see why there would be any qualification other than not believing in any deity...

1. Secular Humanism (100%)

2. Unitarian Universalism (91%)

3. Nontheist (84%)

Everything but the top five was below 50%.

By the way, I was raised as a Roman Catholic and scored this for the bottom:

25. Orthodox Judaism (7%)

26. Roman Catholic (7%)

27. Jehovah's Witness (0%)

Key things that lead me to this: personal problems with the church, a scientific mind, the fact that I am bisexual (as is my girlfriend), I'm BIG for environment protection, I'm almost militant about equal treatment, I grew up on Sta Trek along with a very skeptical mother, and as much as the prospect of death terrifies me, and as much as I wish an afterlife existed, I simply can't believe it.

That was not meant to offend anyone. You have your beliefs as do I. (And hopefully I haven't lost too many friends, lol.)

You won't lose any friends from this, you weren't condescending or putting others down for what they believe by making fun of them or anything and I would hope you would be treated with the same respect for your beliefs.

In the same vein, I just wish to express that I was not offended by LVR's comment about the Flying Spaghetti Monster. It's a direct spoof upon those who believe in creationism, but I believe it does have its own comedic element to it.

I was though. I believe in creationism and don't believe this is the proper place for mocking... or spoofing. Directly or indirectly. Like I said, everyone can believe or disbelieve what they wish that's totally ok. Just don't mock others for what they believe, especially when they weren't mocking anyone themselves. Respect of others, regardless of beliefs should be universal.
