Save Star Trek the Experience

Recommended Posts

post-1-1216612888.jpg

Anyone who thinks closing Star Trek the Experience is a shame, and wants to save it needs to contact Chad Boutte (operations manager, manager of marketing) at chad.boutte@paramountparks.com or at (702)697-8717, and Russell Giles (media representative, operations lead) at russell.giles@paramountparks.com, or at (702)697-8717.

Also, contact the Las Vegas Hilton at Las Vegas Hilton, atten. manager, 3000 Paradise Road, Las Vegas, NV 89109. As for me, the Experience was the only reason to visit their hotel. Without it, there is no pull for me to return. Nothing else sets that hotel apart from the other large hotels on the Strip. If you feel the same way, tell them!! TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!!!

We must contact Chad, Russell, and the Hilton NOW to save this. Fans saved the original series from going off the air decades ago. we can save this one too, but we must act now. Chuck

Also please contact Resorts International, owners of the Las Vegas Hilton at:

PR CONTACT:

Tell them that without the Experience, there is no reason for you to come to, or stay at the Las Vegas Hilton.

After talking to many people, the largest holdout is the Hilton. It seems they want to raise the rent on a new lease beyond that which the Experience feels it can afford. Therefore, while contacting the people at the Experience and Cedar Fair will help, we mainly need to contact the Hilton, and Resorts International.

The Hilton is a dive. The only reasons for staying there are The Experience and if you have some specific reason for staying at that hotel, such as a conference. However, with the new monorail that has a stop across the street from the Hilton there is no reason to stay there anymore.

I agree. The Hilton is probably the oldest hotel in Vegas now. No amount of contacts will save the Experience at the Hilton now. The best we can hope for is for the attraction to be moved to another venue to breath new life into it.

It could always move to a new City... a new tourist city... say, near the beach... :whistling:

I wouldn't mind that at all. It would fit in nicely right around that area where the Hard Rock Cafe is or maybe out on that road where Medieval Times is.

lol Hampton Roads is just 30 minutes or so away from the Yorktown Victory Center (Revolutionary War victory site) and Jamestown, 45 minutes to an hour away from Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens amusement park, 2 hours away from Richmond and Kings Dominion amusement part, 3 and a half hours away from the nations Capitol (Washington, D.C.) About 2 hours away from Kitty Hawk... lots of history for people to see.

Of course I know there's no way they'd move it here, I'm sure they'd keep it in Vegas if they have any opportunities to do so. I'd actually probably rather they do, that way it's something that I can go away to. If it's 10 minutes down the road from me I'll never get to it lol

I know what you mean. I live about 1/2 hour from the ocean under ideal traffic conditions. However, I haven't been to the beach since 1999. Same for Winchester Mystery House which is right by the mall I usually shop at.

If something is physically close to you, you tend to not make a big deal out of going. If it is something you have to plan for, however, you go more often.

I don't think the Experience has much of a future in Vegas. The declining revenues prove that. It needs to be moved to another tourist town where a whole new clientele can give it new life.

Yes...perhaps a large city centered mostly around financial matters, fashion, and corporate headquarters located in North Texas. It starts with a D...ends with an "allas."

Man, I can dream! They could put it right in between the first-ever Six Flags, Hurricane Harbor, and Medieval Times!

at this point relocation needs to be pushed for... it should have never been in a hotel in the first place...

anyway talks of disney and universal why not push for it...

also I came across this on you tube... seems to fit however universal would be better

That was a great video.

Now...just to get Paramount and Disney to talk to each other...or Paramount and Universal (probably even harder to do).

universal has worked with paramont in the the past... Nickelodeon is an example and there was a small star trek thing in the early 90's at universal.

I believe the Star Trek attraction in the early 1990s was at MGM Studios, not at Universal. It was where you could insert yourself into a Trek movie. Lots of footage from Trek II and III were used I believe. I have a video of me and my family "starring" in such a movie around here someplace.

That being said, since all of the rides at Universal center around movies, it would seem to be a great home for The Experience. A really nice fit with the other rides. I hope it happens!

What if Paramount talks with Cedar Fair Entertainment, those who bought Kings Dominion, and bring The Experience there? I mean, Kings Dominion was once owned by Paramount, and even had Trek attractions.

The Star Trek video attraction was at Universal in Orlando right next to King Kong. MGM does have Star Tours and the Endor Vendor Star Wars stuff.

Hmm. Where is this King's Dominion?

5 miles from my house... hehe

ANYWAY it's a little north of Richmond, Virginia...

I doubt parks like that would pick it up... It;s mainly like a six flags...

Carrowinds in SC is another old paramont park... but they both focus on coasters

Considering Kings Dominion is fairly close to me, I naturally consider it a superb location for the Experience!....... :superhappy:
