Jack_Bauer 1 Posted March 25, 2008 Nice find, UH! I wonder if it will be a flying car in the movie? More than likely based on what I've heard. It wouldn't make much sense to have a car available in 2008 (only in California now) to be driven around in the same fashion in whatever time period the movie is primarily set in (presumably 2250-2265). It would date the movie.
LCARS 24 0 Posted April 6, 2008 It was there, but we really don't know if it will be seen in the movie. A lot of editing can happen in a year.

VaBeachGuy 12 Posted April 6, 2008 I've seen this car on the news, they say it can drive from the East coast to the west coast on one tank of gas. I want one!
GhostofMajorHayes 10 Posted April 6, 2008 Wow!! If that is the case, then i want one too!!!
VaBeachGuy 12 Posted April 6, 2008 Yeah, the report said it's a 3 seater I think (or 2 seater) and gets something like 350 miles per gallon. It'll only be sold in California to start and if that's the case I may move out there for a few weeks, set up residency and buy one. Unless it's $200,000 for the car lol
GhostofMajorHayes 10 Posted April 6, 2008 With that kind of mileage per gallon, it may be worth the high price tag, but may take 2 lifetimes to pay off Lol!
LCARS 24 0 Posted April 10, 2008 Of course, there are other electric cars in the pipeline. There's the Tesla roadster, but also there is an effort underway to revive the Detroit Electric (1907-39) brand. Grandma Duck's car was a Detroit Electric. And there is already an aftermarket plug-in set for the Prius, which will probably be a factory option soon. GM has an electric car in testing that's similar in shape to the 2009 Camaro seen in Transformers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Detroit_Electric
