Gisele Eme was born Sunday in Los Angeles, weighing 7 lbs., 13 oz. "Both parents are thrilled," Ryan's rep David Lust tells PEOPLE. "Jeri is resting comfortably and Christophe is playing the part of proud new papa quite well." Ryan, 40, who currently stars on the CBS drama Shark, wed French chef Eme in the Loire Valley last June. The two own hip L.A. restaurant Ortolan. This is the couple's first child together.
