Next Cities For 'Star Trek The Tour' Listed

Recommended Posts

The next four cities Star Trek The Tour will visit will begin with San Francisco. Then Star Trek The Tour heads eastward.

As reported at Monsters and Critics, after one more stop in California, The Tour will head to three cities in the Midwest.

Star Trek The Tour, currently in Long Beach, California until February 17th, will be heading out to San Francisco, Minneapolis, Chicago and Detroit after completion of the Long Beach engagement. Dates have not yet been announced for the four cities.

The Tour is an interactive and participatory event that will allow fans to immerse themselves in the Star Trek world. There are four full-motion, show-based flight simulators, a theater in which computer-generated sequences put visitors in the middle of Star Trek action, the bridges from the original series and Star Trek: The Next Generation, various other sets such as Captain Picard's quarters and Dr. Crusher's sickbay. There is also the opportunity for guests to "star" with the original cast in an episode of their choice and watch themselves interact with Star Trek icons such as Spock and Scotty.

This sounds like it could be very fun. However, it also sounds potentially rather expensive. Who exactly is this group running this event?

Somebody who went to it already said it costs about $30 per ticket...........still cheaper than a con. I can't wait til it comes here. It sounds like there are a lot of things to do.

Channel 2 (CBS) in Chicago just showed a clip of the opening of the Long Beach Star Trek tour showing Shatner sitting in the Captain's Chair on the original bridge. They mentioned that the tour will be coming to Chicago but gave no dates. The anchors and weather guy and sports guy all tried to do the Vulcan salute which was pretty funny, since a couple of them didn't seem to have a clue how to do it. :)
