Dabo Queen 0 Posted January 14, 2008 I personally loved the character of Vic Fontaine; I think he added greatly to the show, interacted well with the characters, helped develop plots and is the second best holodeck character to ever exist (the best holodeck character ever being Moriarty). What did you guys think of him?
Gummy 0 Posted January 14, 2008 He was a favorite of the show's writers, so they created a role for him so that he could work.
Kor37 9 Posted January 14, 2008 I liked Vic. He became everyone's personal Dr. Phil.......
Mr.Picard 12 Posted January 14, 2008 I like him as well. He's really cool... for a holodeck character. (I don't remember much of DS9, but I do remember him, so that's a either a very good or a very bad sign, in this case it's a good one, I guess.)
Trekmachine 0 Posted January 14, 2008 Yes i like the character Vic Fontaine I even have his CD James Darren - "This Ones from the Heart"
SeeingEyeBorg 0 Posted January 14, 2008 Loved the character. Loved that a hologram could have such insight.
Stephen of Borg 2 Posted February 6, 2008 a great character that was more than just a jukebox. He gave great advice and became a great character
TJ Phaserman 2 Posted February 6, 2008 if they made a season 8, he would of been a permenant charater :jem'hadar:. vic was great on so many level where to a point he was called the second coming of sinatra lol.
MrPsychic 1 Posted February 6, 2008 He made a good escape from the war, too much so for both Worf and Nog. Worf retreated into it when Jadzia died, and Nog hid in there after he got his prosthetic leg.
Kor37 9 Posted February 6, 2008 He was DS9's personal Dr. Phil..... :jem'hadar:

VaBeachGuy 12 Posted February 7, 2008 Vic Episodes are some of my favorite episodes, and don't forget. He's not just a holodeck character. In the mirror universe he's a real person.
TJ Phaserman 2 Posted February 7, 2008 true but he was killed by bashier and company. i enjoyed where they knocked off the casino and sisko and vic sang together at the end. i enjoyed that one alot.
Captain Armstrong 0 Posted February 10, 2008 Meh, I know I'm in the minority, but I didn't particularly care for Vic. Would it have killed the writers to have made Vic a Philly soul singer from the 60s or early 70s? Somebody cool. A smooth operator like Star Wars' Lando Calrissian. Everyone on Trek listens to jazz, classical, or lounge music (well, Klingons have opera). But you never hear anything else. I could just see Sisko or jake and Nog relaxing in smoky soul joint, with Al Green or Billy Paul crooning in the background. Lol. That would've been great. <_<

He Who Shall Not Be Named 2 Posted February 10, 2008 Wow, Vic does all that and still finds time to post news stories here? He was DS9's personal Dr. Phil..... <_< I disagree. Vic knows something about psychology and human nature. I'm not sure Dr. Phil does.
TJ Phaserman 2 Posted February 10, 2008 only thing he knows is how to be like oprah, minus giving things away lol
ddillard 2 Posted February 25, 2008 I thought Vic was a good addition to the show. His character providing a diversion to the stress of war, as he provided a retreat and great advice to those that needed it. I am sure that there were many that would have taken his advice more seriously than that of a station counselor as he had no other agenda's that could bias his advice. TJ Phaserman 2 Posted February 25, 2008 i think that was kinda more or less the whole point having him around. i mean you know how ezri was still adjusting being on the station as a dax.
LCARS 24 0 Posted March 2, 2008 Sure. Great character and another element to the series that added a lot. I loved it when he got Odo into faking it on the piano and his duet with Sisko, especially.

Stephen of Borg 2 Posted March 15, 2008 don't like Sisko's duet on "The Best Is Yet To Come" at all. I don't like Avery's voice. Makes me cringe just thinking about it

TJ Phaserman 2 Posted March 18, 2008 i kinda liked it. but sisko's voice is the wrong type for that song. you need a "baby blue eyes" voice
