Masterson To Host ManiaFest

Chase Masterson (Leeta) will chair a genre film festival next month to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Monica.

 

Special effects expert Stan Winston will receive a lifetime achievement award during ManiaFest, produced by Mania Entertainment, publisher of Cinescape and producer of the Saturn Awards.

 

Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home will be aired on the festival's preview night, with Beyond Re-Animator, starring Jeff Combs (Weyoun, Shran), as the opening film. Andy Robinson (Garak)'s Hellraiser will be screened as well.

 

Other films to be shown include Ghost in the Shell, Predator, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Blade, Flash Gordon and Terminator.

 

Each day of the festival will have a theme such as horror, comic books to film or anime. Panelists will include industry luminaries Stan Lee, Clive Barker and George Romero.
