German.

My grandfather is German and can't speak english,so I took 3 years of German language classes in high school in order to be able to write letters to him.He lives in Duisburg.I once visited him there.Beautiful country.

I took 3-years of Spanish in high school, and another 2 in college.

I can speak and write in spanish fairly well, but sometimes have a hard time understand it when it is spoken to me by a native spanish speaker. It's such a fast spoken language!Slow down

Like Mrs. Picard I voted French. English is no. 1 language here in Germany. Each kid learns it in school.

I choose French as second language because I love languages and 2 ancestors of mine were French. I learnt French for 4 year. Now, 25 years later, I'm able to make myself understandable in French but unfortunately that's all.

I'd love to start Spanish but no time at present

what is ASL

Sorry I did not see this question earlier, Roetae. For you, and anyone else curious about this....

ASL stands for American Sign Language.

and I believe USL stands for Universal Sign Language
