APW 0 Posted April 21, 2006 I have a game for my PC. It's instructions say that from the DOS prompt I should log onto the CD ROM..... At the risk of sounding very dumb, how would I do that?
Theunicornhunter 2 Posted April 21, 2006 How old is this game? Earlier versions of Windows had a prompt for DOS but I don't think the newer ones do - at least I've never seen it. Are there any alternate instructions like using the run feature?
Odie 0 Posted April 21, 2006 (edited) Its from '94 or '95. Right now I am looking for intructions on how to install the game. Update: What is you operation system on your computer? If its past Windows 98 it won't run well on your system. From what I have read you won't be able use the sound from the game. Tom Phaserman 0 Posted April 22, 2006 I used to have that game...I tried installing "Aegis: Guardian of the Fleet" on my computer, which has '98, and it's a Dos game, won't run.
APW 0 Posted April 22, 2006 Okay. Thanks for the help all. I just found a handful of old games in a box of junk I moved out west with (and hadn't unpacked yet). They seem to all be from the early to mid 90's.
Tom Phaserman 0 Posted April 22, 2006 (edited) Pre-Win 95 stuff? Talk about dinosaurs... Actually, not too long ago I found my copy of the Oregon Trail. That disk was huge, and it really was floppy! Edited April 22, 2006 by Phaser the Younger
