Stephen of Borg 2 Posted April 5, 2006 In the Voyager episode Unimatrix Zero Part II, Tuvok says that his daughter was born in the city of T'Pol. I was wondering, is the city named after the Vulcan from this series or is she named after the city? I think she was named after the city like people have the name Paris in real life. Does anyone know? Archer has had things named after him, is it possible that T'Pol had the same honor on Vulcan? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
MANVERU 0 Posted April 5, 2006 For a fact..... I don't know. And believe me, I'd be the one dude on this plaent that would go tot he ends of the world to find out! 2 possibilities. Yes, T'Pol's outstanding services were THAT huge, that the Vulcan high Command decided to give her the honour of naming a place after her. Or... The word; "T'Pol" is a Vulcan word for something. Krissy Phaserman 0 Posted April 5, 2006 (edited) I'd go with the second option that Manveru named, unless it was on a Vulcan colony, since I doubt the Vulcans would change a city's official name. Cities named after important people I believe are usually NEW cities. Washington, for example. then again, I could be wrong. The other thing is, what's the date of first airing for Unimatrix Zero-One? It could be simple coincidence on the part of the writing staff, and someone wasn't paying attention. Kor37 9 Posted April 5, 2006 I don't think that the Vulcans would name a city after TPol anyway. They were never thrilled about the fact that she joined Archer's crew.
