Although he does redeem himself in Articles of the Federation for defending B4 in a hearing similar to Data's in Measure of A Man, TNG). Operations: Chief Dorian Collins (Valiant, DS9) Communication: Lt. My crew based on who I think would be bad at each position: Captain: Worf - I know I'll take heat for that but I just don't think he would make a good captain. XO - Seven of Nine - I can't see her being able to carry out orders without questioning them the way a XO or First Officer should. CMO - Quark - Pay in advance or die - and our American friends think HMOs are bad. Chief Engineer - Hoshi Sato - I don't remember her setting foot in Engineering once in 4 seasons. Helm - Deanna Troi - Not that it was her fault but every time she takes the helm the Enterprise ends up needing serious repairs. Security/Tactical - Reg Barclay - Self-explanatory I think. Science/Operations - Morn - Same reason as Barclay. Communications - Commander Calvin "Hutch" Hutchinson - If communications went one way he'd be perfect.
