I used to live in Winnipeg. Sturgeon Creek to be exact. The Jets may be gone but I'm still a fan.

I've been back in Winnipeg for 16 years now (the past 7 years in River Heights) and I can't ever imagine leaving. I miss the Jets a lot too but we still have the Blue & Gold! And you're right, it is still much too early to even think about snow. It's still shorts weather!

Right, lost my perspective there for a minute. Yes, the Bombers are looking pretty good this year, but that's just based on a glance at the standings.

 

My first day in Winnipeg was when I moved there at age 7. It was my first time to see snow (really see snow) and within about 15 seconds I slipped and landed hard on my backside. If I were an adult I might have though "Ahh, the challenges of life on the frontier," but I was just a child and though "Cool.... ice.... weee."
